Dr. Merz is truly a gifted surgeon. Over the past two years he has done a complete knee replacement on both of my knees. He has fantastic bedside manners, he is patient, he cares about your “story “, always gives different options to consider, and as a patient makes you feel comfortable with the decision that you choose. I highly recommend Dr. Merz for any knee or hip issue! Dr. Merz is in the field of medicine for all the right reasons!

Dr. Merz completely misdiagnosed my hip problems. He made me feel crazy for thinking it was my hip that was causing my pain. He told me it was probably a hernia or an ovarian cyst. After seeing another hip specialist, I was correctly diagnosed and will be having surgery to fix my HIP problem.

Dr Merz was patient and showed concern. Extremely professional and courteous. Answered my questions and was supportive with my concerns. Looking forward to working with Dr. Merz in resolving my knee and hip concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Merz!

Dr. Merz is one of the most sensitive, caring, compassionate, capable and knowledgeable doctors I've ever had. He takes time to listen, he did a superb job with my knee surgery, and he pays attention to details. I could not ask for a better human being or a more responsible, more professional health-care provider.

Dr. Merz performed an arthroscopic femoroplasty and labrum repair on my hip in 2019. The results so far have been excellent. Most of my pain is gone and I am able to resume normal athletic activities with no limitations. His preference is to repair rather than replace hip joints and I'm glad I went that route. He is patient, thorough, and takes time to address all questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Merz and EmergeOrtho!
