Dr. Michael John Moore

The greatest doctor I've ever had. I was a patient of Dr. Moore's from about ages 8-20, and every time I visited him for ANY reason, he made me feel welcome and important. He always validated my concerns, and helped me in any way he could. He was the best doctor. Then things get spotty. I've spent easily the last ten years trying to find Dr. Moore. I'm about one step away from hiring a PI. I've called medical groups, spoken to former employees, and various doctor's offices. No one can tell me where he is. And not that I would expect them to tell me WHERE he is, but I would very much like to know that he's alright. They can't even tell me that. Nobody seems to know. Even if he's not a doctor anymore. He was more than a doctor, he was a family friend. I miss the guy! Please let us know you're safe (by posting a review here?) I know at least 3 families that miss you dearly. -Justin A.

Both of my sons were cared for by Dr Mike. his compassion, his understanding, and his willingness to go the extra mile were truly amazing. I could site stories of after hours on call responses, non traditional solutions and a true listener of his patients and parents. Should I be required to say something less than excellent, its the lack of information surrounding his mysterious departure and long term availability.

I met Dr Moore 28 years ago when I was an RN in pediatrics/PICU at SCVMC. Watching him work ignited my passion for pediatric nursing. He is loved and respected like no other physician I have ever worked with or known. When I had my own kids (3 sons who are all in college now), I knew that no other pediatrician would do. His huge smile and infectious laugh always entered the room first, and my sons’ eyes would light up as he made his way to greet them first and foremost.... making them feel important and putting them at ease. At times, I wondered if they were pretending to be sick just so they could visit “Dr Mike” again! Lol. Never did I feel rushed and any questions I may have had were clearly and thoroughly answered. His medical knowledge and intelligence are impressive but his true gift is his compassion.... and compassion like his cannot be taught.

Dr. Moore is caring and the children seem to love him. My two sons want to see only Dr. Moore. Over the years I've come to rely on Dr. Moore's advise more than that of my family members. An excellent physician with great personal skills.
