Dr. Michael Augustus Morehead, MD

Dr Morehead is most likely prejudice against those with a history of mental health problems and a misogynist. Which means he will most likely think your insomnia you’ve had for over 5 months due to your hysterectomy is just your “craziness” flaring up again. I expressed my concerns about my unhealthy sleep patterns to Dr Frey who I see in the same building for migraines although she does not specialize in sleep. She referred me to see Casey, Dr Morehead’s PA but when Casey was unsure of what to do to help me she brought in Dr Morehead who proceeded to tell me I needed a psychiatrist (I already had one, and Dr Mihoan refills my Rxs that I’m doing very well on!) then he told me I should seek a mental health counselor that specializes in “racing thoughts” and I assured him I had one but that’s not why I see her and that at night I have no “racing thoughts” in fact my mind is blank, I am exhausted but I cannot sleep ever since my hysterectomy. I left frustrated and embarrassed. Dr Milhoan… listened to my concerns with logic and compassion and I was prescribed Lunesta 3mg, I’ve been sleeping well and back to my normal bubbly self since on this new medication and I’m thankful to have a doctor that listens and cares.

Left message re: recalled CPAP machine. Asked what to do about recall. Nurse or staff didn’t have the courtesy to return my call.

Doctor seems more interested in having a high patient throughput than helping patients with their conditions. Good luck trying to reschedule since they are never available to take calls.

Worst Dr. HANDS DOWN....Will not perscribe what works he takes you off of medications that work well and attempts to try "new" treatments. Its knocked me back into a BAD cycle of migraines. His PA is really nice though.

my review is almost identical to the first one. he spent maybe 5 minutes with me, said he had no explanation for my problems, offered no help, and made me feel like a juvenile. waste of my day and I still have symptoms that need some kind of medical advice. I should have done research on the doctor, but trusted the referral of my family doctor.

I was sent to this doctor by my family doctor for testing. Morehead spent 5 minutes with me. Totally disregarded my physician's determination and refused his request for testing. Told me I didn't even need the medication I was on. This after a 5 minute consult. I have two head injuries, 5 plaques on my brain and a long history of seizures. Yet Morehead told me I had an emotional disorder and to quit my tegretol. AMAZING!
