Dr. Michael J. O'Connell understands pain and does not imply that what you feel is in your head. I went to him for a shoulder problem that gave me excruciating pain during the day and did not allow me to sleep at night. So, work was out of the question. I had gone to three orthopedic doctors over a period of five years. They all wanted to do surgery, but could not assure me that the pain would go away. So, why would I want to do that. Dr. O'Connell treated me with injections, physical therapy, and oral medication. After a month, he eliminated the meds, and after six weeks, I was myself again. I highly recommend him and his practice, PainCare.

I have been a patient of Dr. Michael J. O'Connell, PainCare, New Hampshire for many years. None of the half dozen practices I went to prior to seeing him could figure out what my problem was. The chronic severe pain in my legs and lower back prevented me from walking or standing for more than 2 minutes. Yes, it was spinal stenosis, but it also involved nerves surrounding the S1. Well, Dr. O'Connell diagnosed it, and I have been going for treatment about two or three times a year and life is back to normal. If you suffer from chronic pain, get yourself to this practice. They have 12 locations throughout New Hampshire.

Some years ago, I started seeing Dr. O'Connell. He diagnosed my problem in short order and started treatment. In two sessions I was pain free and that lasted 6 months. What a relief after years of chronic pain and suffering. Now that Dr. O'Connell is no longer practicing, I see other providers that continue treatment two or less times a year. I have seen just about everyone including Chris Clough. Can't say enough good about PainCare and the providers there. They have grown tremendously throughout New Hampshire over the years. If they weren't helping people they wouldn't still be in existence. They are the best!

Dr. O'Connell is exceptionally knowledgeable and caring. He diagnosed my problem in short order. I had been trying to get answers for years from so many doctors that I lost count. In my case there were three things going on. On my first three visits Dr. O'Connell had eliminated all my issues one at a time. Today, I am able to manage any pain to the point that it is no longer an issue. A couple of times a year, I go for treatment at PainCare, and all of the providers there are excellent.

All the providers and staff at PainCare's many locations are the best. I have been a patient there for over ten years and cannot say enough about the care I have received. In all that time, I have been seen when I arrive for my appointments in a timely manner. The most time I have ever had to wait is ten minutes. If it had not been for PainCare, I would have gone through three surgeries. I am so thankful for PainCare and the wonderful pain management I have received.

Keep Looking - Pain Care use to be a great place, now that they have gotten so large, they have lost their way and now seem to be about making our lives harder and making money. As a valid patient @ Pain care I can tell you first hand, that now the doctors make you feel like you're a junkie, when I started at Pain care I would be asked into the office every six to eight weeks, now a day's its every 29 days. Taking a day off from work each month so I can go to Pain Care is insane. I have asked why all patients need to be seen so regularly and I get lip service, when I look at the NH RSA concerning follow-up appointments for DR or pain clinics the verbiage is vague at best and states nothing about every thirty days. I for one am done with Pain Care and am in the process of looking for another doctor. Pain care is no longer in business to help people with chronic pain, but to make as much money as possible. Every appointment is quadrupled booked and you wait around for hours to see… your doctor for a 20 minute visit and again all patients are required to do this every thirty days.I'm in the process of looking for a Doctor that actually cares to treat me professionally and morally correct, Pain care is no longer NH best source for anything but more pain.

No other doctor comes close to Dr. O'Connell and his diagnostic abilities. I went to several other doctors and none of them could diagnose my problem. It took years, and then I went to Dr. O'Connell. He got it right on the first visit and has been treating me ever since.

Dr. O'Connell and all of the PainCare staff are dedicated to relieving and managing chronic pain. As a more than ten-year patient, I cannot say enough about their compassion and expertise. None of the providers ever give up on a patient. If it was not for PainCare, I would have had three unnecessary surgeries that Dr. O'Connell and his providers have helped manage with various non-invasive procedures. They are the best hands down!!!

Dr. O'Connell is the best there is in the pain management specialty. If a problem is somewhat puzzling, he will always come up with the answer. A good diagnostician is very difficult to find.
