Dr. Michael Edward Okeeffe, MD

I have been going to Dr. O'Keeffe for several years, my OBGYN retired and recommended me to him, and I have been seeing Dr. O'Keeffe since, I hope he doesn't retire any time soon.

Dr. O’Keeffe diagnosed me with PCOS in 2019 and put me on a hormonal birth control pill. He said the next treatment step would be metformin. The pill was meant to regulate my cycle, he said. It did not regulate my cycle after over a year of taking it as prescribed. I asked about vitamin supplements for PCOS and he said they don’t use alternative medicine and walked back his statements that the pill was meant to regulate my cycle. After doing my own research, I learned the hormonal birth control pill can worsen PCOS symptoms and metformin is not useful for my type of PCOS. I read on my own which supplements to take and have had regular cycles with them. Dr. O’Keeffe should stay up to date with information about the conditions he treats. I wasted over a year of my time by listening to him. If you have a medical condition and your provider’s treatment plan doesn’t seem right, do your own research.

Dr. O’Keeffe has been my doctor for a couple of years now. He was referred to me by a friend who has been seeing him for years and couldn’t speak highly of him enough. I have found Dr. O’Keefe to be so easy to talk to, understanding, caring, and of course knowledgeable. I have been able to talk to him about things I would typically find very embarrassing, he makes it easy and has good solutions. A good man and a good doctor!

Dr O’Keefe is a compassionate and caring doctor who listens carefully and provides excellent care both during pregnancy and postpartum and the years before and after. I highly recommebd Dr. OKeefe. You will not find a better doctor.

What wonderful doctor! Very courteous and caring to my needs and concerns. O'Keeffe is by far my favorite physician at this practice. His bedside manner is what I admire the most and he always takes the time to answer any questions I may have. A++
