Dr. Michael Dane Palestine

Can’t say if he is a good Doc as I’m unable to make an appointment. Different rule and reason cited each time I call. Unbelievably difficult.

I find it especially galling that Dr. Palestine charged me $125 for my 15 minute appointment with him last month. When he wasn't on the phone with other patients, he was very dismissive of my symptoms and quickly recommended I see another specialist. An emphatic "Not Recommended" for the doctor.

Dr. Palestine has been treating my mother for some time. Unlike most doctors in this town, he spends a lot of time with his patients and asks a lot of questions. Then, he LISTENS. While at times we have to wait a while to see him, we understand that this is because he is willing, when needed, to spend extra time with his patients. We have found him to be caring and patient. He is also a very good diagnostician.

I met Dr.Palestine at the emergency room of St.Vincent Hospital and because of his expertise I did not have to have back surgery and did not end up in a wheel chair. I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis of the spine and he found the right antibiotics which saved my life. He is the most caring,gentle,knowledgeable ,bright doctor I know and because of him I can walk like a normal person.I am for ever grateful to him . His patients are very lucky to have him. And to have to wait for him is because he cares about his patients,because he is busy and thorough .He is the best.

miss diagnoses repeatedly

Mike Palestine is more concerned about his in-ability to operate his computer and how many more pills he can give you that are not used anymore by 'Real' doctors because they dont work. He seems to want to keep his patients as sick as he can for the income. SWC needs new doctors who care and take HIV/AIDS seriously. This dr. and his buds dont care. They want to know who we sell are meds to aswell. He has spoken of this twice in appointments, with claims that all of his patients are selling there drugs for the lack of income they have and a special unit with SFPD investigates all of us. Its time to investigate the investigaters and the doctors.

Dr. Palestine agreed to squeeze me into a tight schedule with little notice. He was patient, kind, and funny. Too few doctors have a good sense of humor these days! I have a bizarre problem so there was little he could do, but I was impressed by him. And he did what he could. I believe he is a thoroughly competent infectious disease specialist.

I went to this doctor referred by my GP. I have been suffering a case of contagious scabies for over a month, seen 5 other doctors and was at my wit's end. I thought that maybe I was going to wrong kind of doctor.Dr. Palestine was very uninterested in helping me. He treated me like a hysterical female, because I was crying after a month of repeated medications, no results and bugs crawling all over me. Wouldn't you cry?I had a list of questions, one of which was how safe was my house for friends. He suggested I invite someone over I didn't like and find out!!!!!I did not think this was funny.He eventually rushed me out of his office because he has decided he spent enough time on me, with none of my questions answered and his only response was "I don't know" to most of my inquires.I had some specimens to go to pathology and he wanted me to take it to the lab across the way myself! At least one of his office staff realized how absurd that was and said she would take it.I have no idea… what he is going to charge me, but I am composing a letter to tell him I do not feel obligated to pay my bill, since he really did not seem the least bit interested in helping me and, consequently, didn't.
