parra didn't call or follow up on the surgery he performed on me needs remedial task and Hippocratic oath refresher course(s) he got paid i got played

This great man just saved my husbands life in the middle of the night. I think he's an angel and wil be forever grateful.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Michael Parra as a reliable physician because of his lack of attention. I understand that when emergencies arise, scheduled patients are placed on a back burner. However, neither he nor his staff had the courtesy of letting us know what was happening. I arrived at the hospital at 11:30 am as scheduled by Dr. Parra office and waited until 6:30 pm for any news if he was still going to perform the surgery or not. The only thing the nurses kept saying, was that he was in surgery, had an emergency, and I was the next patient. After waiting all afternoon to have surgery and without any precise information I left the hospital. As of today (23 days later), I have not received any apology from Dr. Parra for his unprofessionalism

Dr. Parra scheduled surgery time and he was 40 minutes late. Nurses were arguing who was to call him on where he was. I called him 2nd night apprx 8pm for high fever after surgery, 101.6 got answering service. Had to call every 30 min trying to get a call back even asked for his supervisor. Dr. Parra called back after 2+ hours with attitude that he's too busy . Set up a follow up visit 2 weeks later. They called and changed it. I was half hour early to fill out paperwork. They showed me to a room 50 minutes later, after the 1st half hour. Dr. Parra came in 15 minutes after that. Total of 1 1/2hrs waiting... Showed no interest of checking my surgery until I asked him to look at it for an issue. Total time with him was 1 minute. No time for his patients. Dr. Parra shows no consideration for anyone but himself. I felt it with the hospital staff as well... Make your own call on this one. Just a number to him.

This guy is great. It took for me to get bounced around from a PC, to a Ortho Specialist, to a Urologist (which I skipped) for a basic hernia. This guy knows his stuff and I reccommend him. Haven't had the surgery yet, but it's being scheduled.
