From day one I was treated with respect and dignity. I had to have revision surgery and Dr. Patterson and Melanie prescribed nothing but the best for me. I’m very grateful this has been a nightmare but hopefully now we’re headed in the right direction. Thank you so much.

Do yourself a favor and do not visit his Pain Management Center because they are the absolute worst doctor's office I've ever seen at getting back to anybody AT ALL about anything especially when someone is in extreme pain and needs a doctor to get back to them. You've been warned

I saw Dr. Patterson for a facet nerve block procedure. I was supposed to have a consultation first which was canceled the week prior to my appointment because he was on vacation (it took me almost 3 months to get this appt). I went ahead and kept the nerve block appointment and when I met with Dr. Patterson I indicated to him that I don't respond well to anesthesia. I informed him that in having similar procedures in the past, I've required additional "numbing shots" and that the shots took a while to kick in / numb me. When I received the numbing shots, there was not an adequate period of time between the shots and the injections. I was in terrible pain. I told him it hurt and asked if it was supposed to hurt that much. His response was "It looks fine to me". I was sobbing in pain. He never once asked if I was ok, and didn't even look at me after the procedure let alone come to check on me in recovery. Terrible bedside manner, and total disregard for patient consideration.

I was hesitant to get shots in my lower back due to experiences shared with me by friends. Some said it was the worst pain they’ve ever felt. I was a bit nervous to go through the first procedure. I called Dr Patterson’s office and one of his nurses spoke with me for 30 minutes about his technique and approach as a physician. She received shots in her neck from Dr Patterson and assured me that he is very talented and makes the entire process seamless. So I decided to follow through with the shot. Dr Patterson was great from the time he met me in the waiting area to the end of the procedure. He takes the time to listen and explain the process. While in the operating room he tells you each step he’s taking and makes you feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I know there is local anesthetic involved but you can barely tell that he is even back there. It takes about 10 minutes, it’s virtually quick and painless! I would highly recommend Dr Patterson. The relief from… the shot didn’t last too long, about 7 days but it was the best I felt in almost a year and it can help my doctors to identify a longer lasting solution to my back pain.

Unlike many other pain doctors, Dr Patterson does NOT treat every person as though an addict. He is a "no nonsense" kind of guy and each time treats me with respect and concern. I am very happy I found him. Thank you Dr Patterson. I highly recommend you!

I am a current patient. My first few visits were great, but my last few have not been. he is not listening to what I say. I am trying to tell him I want to find a way to do less opiods, but as soon as I mention pain, he cuts me off and says you're at the max, I can't give you any more. I try again and again to tell him I don't want more, I want less. But he seems unwilling to listen and work with me to try to figure out a way to help. I am on the same medications as when he took over the practice, maybe they're not the right combination/dosage. He needs to listen before judging.
