Dr. Michael Reinhorn, MD

Dr. Reinhorn performed his minimally invasive surgery on me about a month ago, and I can confidently say it was THE BEST medical experience I've ever had from initial research and consultation to the procedure itself to post-op (I'm a 65-year old male who had a one-sided repair w/mesh). Zero bruising and a stellar post-op roadmap via his app. Do your research as I did, yet you'll likely find yourself making a similar decision. BEST TEAM EVER.

searched high & low for hernia surgeon !! found Boston Hernia -who specializes in Hernias. drove up from New Jersey for my consultation, nothing but a great experience with Dr. Reinhorn and the team at Boston Hernia .Dr Reinhorn was patient ,knowledgeable & thorough with my examination, he explained what repair procedure for my inguinal hernia I knew I was in great hands!!!!Surgery went well !! just Advil & Tylenol for 2 days after surgery & was up walking daily .The B.O.S.S. out patient Surgical Suites - brand new , clean ,state of the art operating rooms !!! Want to thank all from Dr.Reinhorn , Jackie , PAs & nurses . feel good !! back on my Bicycle !! highly recommend!! Tony

Dr. Reinhorn is a wonderful person, and an expert, highly skilled surgeon. My pre-op exam was very thorough. Dr. Reinhorn explained in detail what I could expect from my surgery. He then patiently answered all my questions, and laid to rest all my concerns. Having had prior hernia surgery elsewhere with a different surgeon and a different outcome, I was worried about going home with a catheter, as well as needing prescription pain meds which might conflict with other meds I was regularly taking. The surgery itself couldn’t have gone smoother, taking less than an hour to complete, and then be discharged shortly thereafter. Later, to my amazement, as Dr. Reinhard had told me during pre-op, I needed only mild, over the counter meds for pain throughout my short period of recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Reinhard for anyone in need of hernia surgery. He is the best!

In my opinion, Dr. Reinhorn is a very skilled and experienced surgeon. And everyone in the office does a fantastic job of working with every patient. I felt I was respected as a patient, and every question I asked was answered. I was fully informed during the whole process. Be sure to take advantage of the short videos created by Dr. Reinhorn explaining what to expect before, during, and after the surgery.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Michael Reinhorn and the team at Boston Hernia. From my very first consultation, Dr. Reinhorn was thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to clearly explain both my umbilical and inguinal hernias, the recommended repair approach, and what to expect before, during, and after surgery. I immediately felt I was in expert hands. The surgery itself went smoothly, and my recovery has exceeded my expectations. The discomfort was there as expected but it’s was far less than I anticipated. Dr. Reinhorn’s skill and experience was evident every step of the way. Beyond his surgical expertise, his bedside manner truly stands out. He could see I was nervous about the surgery and help set my mind at ease as much as he could. He is compassionate, approachable, and genuinely cares about his patients’ and their outcomes. The entire office staff have been kind and professional, organized, and supportive throughout the process.

My whole experience with Dr Reinhorn and his team was flawless from start to finish. From my first consultation, to my diagnosis and explanation of my inguinal hernia surgery options, to my surgery scheduling, procedure and post-op, all were flawless. Every step of the way, everything was described and explained to me. I was also directed to their vast online resources which answered any questions or concerns that I had and made the whole process very pleasant. Anyone suspecting or experiencing a hernia, would be well served to give Dr Reinhorn and his team a call, as their professionalism, experience and knowledge would be a benefit to anyone needing their help.

I initially went to Dr. Reinhorn six years ago for an umbilical hernia. I was scheduled for an operation, but became concerned about mesh and put it off. Six years later, my umbilical hernia had grown larger, and I also had two inguinal hernias to deal with. At this point, I decided to listen to the expert surgeon who does 500 hernia surgeries a year instead of random online naysayers, and followed Dr. Reinhorn's recommendation for open surgery with mesh. A month later, I feel very silly having worried about mesh for so long. Even after a triple hernia procedure, I experienced just a few days of very manageable pain immediately after surgery, and that soon dissipated. A little over a month later, I am cleared to resume all activities, including resistance training. It's a relief to no longer be self-conscious about my formerly grotesquely giant belly button and strange groin lumps. Don't put it off like I did. Just do it.

I am very grateful to have my hernia repair done by Dr. Reinhorn and his staff. Everyone was impressively professional, kind, and skilled. The surgery experience far exceeded my high hopes for quality and professionalism. They were all consummate medical professionals. Two months out and it is healing nicely. Thank you Dr. Reinhorn.
