Dr. Michael Todd Sanford, MD

Its been 5 days since I asked to get a refill on my blood thinners. I have factor 5 leiden and I get blood clots in my lungs and legs. I called up there to get my refill on Monday then tuesday. Theres a pattern. You have to beg for your meds. They dont get back with me until wednesday, and that was just to run a cholesterol test.They did not give me my blood thinner meds. I told them I'll have to go to the E.R they told me well go ahead. Dr. Stanford was on vacation. It is his job to take care of his patients yet I'm sitting here without any of my medication. Legs getting tight chest hurting. So I called the pharmacy, they're loaning me 3 of my medication. So that I don't die. So how does this look on Dr. Stanford? This is terrible. You shouldn't have to beg and crawl and plead to get your medication, which is not even a narcotic. This is the second time this has happened to me Some patients just aren't important as others. This is true or it wouldnt have happened twice.

Great bedside manner, I came in with severe abdominal pain. Saw him in less than 15 minutes from when I walked in the door. He diagnosed an inflamed appendix. He let my wife drive me to the Hospital because there were no ambulances available for a while. I was in surgery in under 2 hours and in those 2 hours the appendix ruptured. If I waited for the ambulance I might not survived. I truly believe his discretion helped save my life.

Mike was wonderful! I am a retired RN so have experience with health care providers. He was very kind and attentive. He listened to my concerns, asked me questions to clarify my symptoms and made sure I left there satisfied with the plan.

Mr Michel has been treating me and my family whenever either one of us need to go to the Urgent Care in Gulf Shores. He is amazing! Very sweet, friendly, compassionate and patient. Very professional and smart too. Highly recommend!

I did not see Dr. Todd Michael, but I did see a nurse practitioner. I was told I had Covid, and to go home and take a cough drop, quarantine for five days and get a vaccination. If this can be treated with a cough drop, why would I take an experimental drug? Why did we shut the country down, if all it takes is a cough drop.

Dr. Sanford and his staff were very professional, prompt, and explained the information (regarding my positive covid results) completely.

Dr Sanford is very personable and knowledgeable. Has a great bedside manner.

My entire family uses Dr. Sanford. He is a very warm and caring doctor. He will take as much time as he needs when he sees you. The wait may be a little long, but it is worth it.

He was great while I was in the hospital for months the home a couple of days and get really bad off and returned to hospital suddenly when Dr Sanford talked to by mean controlling boyfriend he changed horribly he knew my insurance changed and he said don't worry about it I'll take care of it but after he talked to my stupid boyfriend , exchanged the new orders right away he discontinued my pic line, the one that kept me alive at home. And basically called me a list and sent me home . I did not lie my boyfriend did soon to be ex boyfriend. I was having so much pain I couldn't walk,sit, lie down all I could do was cry. Then when I called to make a follow up appointment the clerk said we don't takes that insurance. He had told me he would take care of it. Just because he believed my boyfriend instead of me. I did not lie . I was so hurt now I have no Dr. With a lot of medical problems and a lot of meds I need refilled and no one to refill them. I am very hurt because of the way… my doctor acted. He did me wrong. You can't trust him so don't go see him for anything . You can't trust him. He just dumped me like a piece of trash. As sick as I am I need a Dr. SOON I have meds I need soon .I had a very serious surgery ,I was in the hospital ,you may as well call it 6 months because I would be out only for two days and go back to the hospital, my daddy even passed away while I was in there, added stress ,that was 350 miles away. I've got to find a compantant Dr. Very soon.

He is thorough and does his research. He has a wonderful bedside manner and will spend as much time with you as needed during an office visit. If I have to wait more than 30 minutes for my appointment then I know he is helping a patient to the fullest and that to me is more important than me getting "in and out" fast. We Love this doctor and would be heart broken if we lost him.
