Dr. Michael Savitt is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with over 25 years of surgical experience. Throughout his decades-long career, Dr. Savitt has honed innovative coronary bypass and valve surgery techniques, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He is also experienced in lung resection and cancer surgery. Prior to joining Baptist Medical Network, Dr. Savitt practiced at heart and lung centers across the Midwest. Additionally, he has frequently served as a lecturer on cardiothoracic topics and authored numerous manuscripts for medical journals.

He is a gifted surgeon, with great bedside manner. Took care of me when I was extremely sick. None of the larger places would accept me in transfer, accept Dr Mike and Trinity. They saved my life and the entire team was a joy and professional .

He is a gifted surgeon with an outstanding bedside manner. We are so happy to have him in the community. He provides expert big city big hospital care, to our community. He is catering and compassionate and takes the time to explain everything in detail.

Dr Savitt performed emergency bypass surgery on me 7/21/2003 and saved my life. His work was excellent and 13 years later I am still around to write this review. I did not meet Dr Savitt until two days later, but he consoled my hysterical wife before the operation.

He was the Thoracic Surgeon call when my husband came in during a heart attack. His wounderful humor helped so much in getting him through not only his Five by-pass surgery but his Lung removal three years later. He is a wonderul surgeon and great person as well. His caring shows in everything he does.

I highly recommend this dr as i just had lung surgery.. was very nervous after reading alot of stuff off the net about it and people complaining about the after pain. i had very little pain after surgery he did an amazing job :) i cant begin to thank him enough.
