He and his staff did x rays and said that they didn't see anything wrong but he figures it's soft tissue well and that I continue physical Therepy. My left shoulder is in real sharp and throbbing pain I figured he would do an MRI on my shoulder to see how bad and he was rude because he said I was slurring from my Valium when I didn't even take it that day and i had asked for a higher dosage because the 5's werent working I had a peppermint in my mouth and the fact he has a hearing aide Didn't help his analysis on me I would not reccomend him to my worst enemy and the best comments he gets is from insurance companies go figure

This doctor is bad news!!! About 7 years ago, he was performing a routine vertebrae fusion on my mother. During the procedure, he "accidentaly" severed the bundle of nerves that controls urinary and bowel functions. This means that ever since he operated on her she has had to use a catheter to urinate and take copious amounts of colon cleanser to have a bowel movement. Typically, she is unable to have said movement for at least 4-5 days, leaving her feeling miserable! My mother has stayed positive, even though this would be devastating to some. She attempted to seek damages but no lawyer would take her case due to "conflict of interest". Which means JOI has alot of them on the bankroll. No wonder they pay millions for medical malpractice insurance. When all of her efforts were exhausted and the statue of limitations had expired, she asked Scharf if he would pay for her catheters ($1 everytime she urinates) since he admitted fault. Instead of being sympathetic, he turned her away and… told her not to come back! We were simply blown away! Not only was he unapologtetic, he also made her the enemy. This man in a terrible excuse for a human being, not to mention a doctor! Think twice before letting Michael Scharf operate on you!

Surgery went well and very little down time. 4 months later started having some pain.
