Dr. Michael Schiffman has always been there for me when I needed his medical expertise.He is caring, conscientious, friendly, personable. He listens, pays attention to detail and keeps up on the latest techniques. He truly cares for me and my family, not just as patients but as a individuals. He has a keen interest in his profession and shares with you all the details of care for you individually based on your issues. He takes his times with you and answers all your questions.When my father's gastroenterologist in Carmel, New York was not up on the current best treatment for colitis back in the 1990's, Dr. Schiffman updated us and contacted my father's physician. At the time my father's physician chose to ignore Dr. Schiffman's advice and he subsequently spent 2 months in the hospital in New York and almost died from severe colitis.
