Dr. Michael Seel, MD

I contacted this Orthopedic surgeon's office to get a second opinion about an MRI that I believe showed an injury from a previous physician. I spoke to his staff and asked if he would be open to that. They checked with him and said he'd be happy to help. I had the MRI sent over, but when I met with the doctor, he wasn't interested in going over the MRI with me. I mentioned it about four times that that is what I came for. All he wanted was to examine and convince me I needed a hip replacement. Doctors are supposed to care about what patients are needing and wanting. He just interrupted me when I tried to explain. He acted like he couldn't care less. He was just there to sell hip replacement surgery. Unless you're going there to see him for that, I would avoid him. He's not likely to listen to anything you have to say.

I had this procedure 3 weeks ago at AHN Wexford. Dr seel is the best ortho I know! He is compassionate, meticulous, a great listener and I wouldn't have any other cortho. He did my both knee replacements and now a hip! Just simply the best! Atilla his Pa is just like him!

I recently had knee surgery. Dr. Seel was recommended to me. I made an appt. and saw his PA. I had a CT scan and saw the PA for the results. Surgery was scheduled. I went to the hospital and right before surgery, I finally met Dr. Seel for the 30 seconds it took him to introduce himself. That was the only time I have seen Dr. Seel, even though I have had post surgery complications. I have gone back to the office five times because of the complications and continue to just see the PA. My complications have not been resolved and I am now worse off than I was before the surgery, and I can't seem to get any answers. The PA is very nice, but if you are expecting to get treated by an actual physician, (which I expected I would be considering I am still paying physician prices for treatment), go somewhere else. Bottom line: I could walk before surgery, I can barely walk now and I have only seen Dr. Seel for a 30 second introduction on the day of surgery. I will not be going to Dr.… Seel's office again.

Awful experience

The entire staff is pleasant, helpful, attentive! I have never visited a more efficient office, myself or with my family!!

First time I met Dr. Seel, I said that I think I tore my rotator cuff at the gym. He totally ignored that and sent me to therapy, which made my tear worst. After 6 months, I could not life my arm or turn it out to the side. After finally taking imaging, it was diagnosed that I had a tear. Superman could see no tear without imaging. I had the surgery and then it took 3 and a half months for my incision line to heal.

Amazing Orthopedic Surgeon!! Gifted in intellect , conservative and so admired. Do not have Orthopedic Surgery before making appointment. ALL GREAT OUTCOMES...NOT GOOD ...GREAT

I love Dr, Seel, & his Pa.'s. They have realempathy 4 their patients.

He misdiagnosed my shoulder and my wife's elbow (2 separate appointments and times). Never did the needed imaging, just thought he knew it all. He caused both of us to have much pain (and mine was nearly not repairable) because of his incompetence until we went to competent doctors. His "treatment" of both of us could have had VERY negative effects (lots of cortisone), and you can't get past his physician's assistant to talk to the Dr. himself. Do yourself a favor - there are MUCH better doctors around.

I will not go to anyone else!
