Dr. Michael Scott Seligson, MD

Dr. Selgison is friendly enough and always asks if the patient has questions. He does not appear to have any empathy for his patients with serious eye issues that could lead a seriously diminished life. He does not take an authentic interest nor discuss possible options with any authority. Watch and wait is not sufficient - would it be for him if he was in the exam chair?

Dr. Seligson is, as others have noted, kind, calm, professional, and knowledgeable. It took awhile for me to realize that the long wait that sometimes occurs in the Santa Fe office is due to this being a regional practice rather than a purely local one. Coming from a large city, I was used to all my docs being available 8-5, 5 days a week. Here in Santa Fe, I have had to get used to what a regional practice means. It means doctors serve a larger area than each town in which they have an office. Many appointments are made for the same day because that may be the only day that week that Dr. Seligson is in that office. You will get top-notch care here so come prepared to wait. Bring a snack and something to read!

This is a very busy office. You usually have a long wait as everyone wants to see Dr. Seligson. All of his clients would tell you that it is worth the wait. I fly back to Santa Fe just to see him as I trust and respect him.

Dr. Seligson is the absolutely best. He is always pleasant and professional. My first encounter with him was when another eye doctor (not associated with him in any way), blew out my retina during routine cataract surgery. Dr. Seligson, on a Saturday, did a 4 hour surgery and saved my eye. Saw him again this week, and he was as outstanding as ever. He is an excellent surgeon. You are in great hands with Dr. Seligson. Highly recommend.

My appt time was 3:30. I got there at 3:15 and was taken to the back right away to have tests done by a tech. Then, sat in the waiting room until about 5 before treatment started. I thought the numbing drops would wear off before I was seen. I was finally out a little after 6. He is a good doctor, but the wait time is ridiculous.

I had many appointment with Dr.Seligson, he went above and beyond to adress questions I had. Even if the questions were out of the scope of his practice. He pays attention to details and cares for his patients. I would recommend him to anyone. Some may be discouraged by the long wait in his office. But my belief is that he is soo good that his patients keep comming back and sending recommendations. THANK YOU Dr.Seligson!
