We found Dr. Michael Smith to be genial, willing to spend time with us, and clear in his explanation of my condition. The deciding factor in our choice was that Dr. Smith had a clear plan for my surgery and was completely confident that it would be successful. And he was right! Seven months after that first meeting (and six months after the surgery), I have no back problems at all. After suffering with pain from cervical disc herniation for long long time I was referred to Dr. Smith for surgery and I could not have been happier. My pain post surgery has resolved completely. Other surgeons I had consulted wanted to operate on 3 levels at the same time which my wife and I were not happy with. Dr. Smith was very clear that 3 level surgery is risky and not recommended in my case. I would definitely recommend Dr. Smith to anyone who needs cervical surgery. I can’t say enough about how great Dr Smith and his team are . Appointments are easy to set . Little to no wait time . Friendly people . Most importantly Dr Smith is an amazing surgeon ! I had what is called “flat back” which was not repairable through exercise or non medical treatments . Dr Smith had to basically re-create my lower back to give me a curve which would support me and my back . The outcome is nothing short of spectacular. I can stand up straight . I can breathe easier . I can partake in my favorite pastime which is hiking . And btw I am an inch taller than when I went in! I have a new lease on life and I feel it everyday and not just because everyone notices how great I look ! Thank you Dr Smith for your excellent work and your true caring along my journey .

It was extremely easy to get an appointment and I was barely kept waiting when I arrived. In my last follow-up visit I saw 4 people in 35 minutes. I decide to ask Dr. Smith to operate because he offered something less drastic that another doctor. My outcome was excellent and as he predicted. I have recommended Dr. Smith to my husband. If the doctor and staff wasn’t great I wouldn’t do that.
