Dr. Michael Alson Smith, MD

He was my doctor from the age 17 until not so many years ago 24 years. He was the best doctor I ever had. I hope he's doing well ??????????????????????????

a few years ago I took my mother to this man,,she had cancer with the ct scan he knew it,,but said nothing about it,knowing he was going to do nothing to help her I took her to my dr.who found the cancer right away with an xray done in his office,dr.dane floburg saved my mothers life,where dr.smith didn't see a life worth saving

wait time is far too long. 3 minutes with doctor is not enough. self pay is 90 dollars. would not refill my pain meds.I have documented proof of nerve damage, he has no interest in patient need, only his own best interest.

With a appt.it took 45min then he did nothing for me.I don't at recommend the place to anyone.they have sign that say if you are outside when your name is called you go to the end of the line ,that is just for blacks, don't use uses cell phones another sign for blacks because the rules didn't apply while I was there.don't want to give pain med or fair treatment!!!!

Everyone has always been very kind & courteous to me & I feel comfortable with Dr. Smith which is very important to someone like me who is nervous around any & everyone. He's been my doctor for year's & the ONLY thing that REALLY needs to improve is the wait time... I would seriously recommend taking the day off & make sure that's the ONLY thing you have to do that day because it's been almost 4 hour's before & to me, that's crazy. The slowest hospital can get you in & out sooner than that.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Dr. Smith's office. The wait time was 3 hours and when I went to talk to the Dr. he seemed very disinterested in what I had to say. I ended up having to have physical therapy from a running injury for 3 months. I had to ask him 4 times for a referral. He never gave me a referral in writing until after I bothered him enough after my talk was over and I was about to leave. This man used a lot of huge words that no one without a biology, nursing, or exercise science degree could understand. I have a degree in public health from an accredited university and feel like this man's lack of listening skills could really be dangerous for patients. According to my health communication teacher, he is in the wrong field and if patients don't know how to advocate for their own health (about half do not) they could be in danger. Do not go to this Dr. unless you have no where to go. If you must go see him, ask him to repeat what he has to say in words you can… understand, ask questions, and let him know it is inappropriate to interrupt in the middle of a diagnosis. Be clear with him what you need and have a good understanding of what you want from the visit and do not leave until you have your needs met. In addition, he has prescribed my brother the wrong medication more than once. Please be sure to check over everything! This was the worst doctor I have ever been to. Lastly, my mom was told by staff members the reason why your wait time is so long. Dr. Smith refuses to come in on time. He comes two hours late everyday so if your appointment is at 9am he is not even there yet. He doesn't care about patients at all.

NEVER RETURN CALLS REGARDLESS HOW MANY TIMES YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE, ALSO THEY NEVER WANT TO GIVE YOU A REFERRAL,THIS IS THE WORST DR. OFFICE WE HAVE EVER DEALT WITH BUT SOON WE WILL NOT GO BACK THERE, CHANGING DOCTORS. THIS IS A QUACK OFFICE

Not a good idea for anyone. I was misdiagnosed, treated for something so much more minor and ended up having a major emergency surgery. It's been a year now and he still asks to see my scar and how long ago the surgery was. He does not get to know any of his patients. I feel really bad writing this, but I think people should know.
