Dr. Michael Alan Sotosky, MD

Dr. Sotosky is the best docter I have ever met. He is kind, curtious and professional.

I went to this doctor for the first time 23 years ago and never went back. I complained of headaches and without having done any tests on me to find out the cause he immediately wanted to put me on a beta blocker, a medication used to treat high blood pressure among others. Beta blockers lower heart beats and makes the heart work harder, and have a variety of side effects one needs to be aware of, especially people with asthma like myself. This man did noy so much as order a blood test but was quick to give me a prescription for something I highly doubt i needed. And if I did i would have appreciated an actual diagnosis!

-could probably get an appointment IF Teresa would answer the phone without "PLEASE HOLD" and forgetting that one was left on hold sometimes for hours. what is the big deal about making an appointment since the office does NOT appear to be very busy.-waiting time is ok compared with others drs.-the courtesy of the office staff is nonexistant. is this person Teresa a relative? i can not imagine her representing a professional in a front office position.-accuracy in diagnosing is ok if it can be done with an exam, referrals are taking much too long-bedside manner/ great dr. sotosky is caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable-follow up and call backs just don't happen when the doc. doesn't get his messages.

I have seen Dr. Sotosky for several years. About a year ago I switched to another doctor not because of Dr. Sotosky but his rude office personnel and Hours. I would call to make an appointment 20 minutes after their lunch hour was over and it would still roll to the answer service. The office staff seemed to go out of their way to make things difficult for you and were nasty to you on the phone. Dr. Sotosky is a caring wonderful doctor but he needs to pull the plug on his office staff.

I've gone to him for years (as he was the doctor my parents chose for us when I was younger). He is very thorough and always gives his patients ample time for discussion while they are there.However, it can be very difficult to get an appointment with him at times. As they are closed on Fridays and a couple hours in the middle of every other weekday for lunch plus closing at 3:30ish, I often can't get through to schedule an appointment or get tests results for a few days due to my working schedule.Although he is very courteous and treats all of his patients very well, the other members of the staff are often rude (especially very much so over the phone) and act like it's an inconvenience for you to make them do their job. I once called and was told I already had an appointment with a GI and was given another patient's information due to the fact that one of the receptionists wasn't paying attention. This greatly concerned me as this information should be confidential (there's a… reason everyone at the hospital confirms your birthday and SSN before telling you any information).

I have been going to Dr. Sotosky for years but recently decided to find another doctor. He is a great doctor but their office is closed every Friday and during lunch time which makes it hard to make appointments or get information that you need if you are a working adult and have to get things completed on your lunch break. His staff is VERY, VERY RUDE and unwilling to help you. His staff is the main reason I am now in search of a new doctor. RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!

Dr. Sotosky answers every question, and makes time for every concern. He has saved me and my family from numerous health problems by catching them early with his thoroughness, the latest an arortic aneurism that even the cardiologist could hardly discern, even when looking specificaly for it. It turned out to be a life-saver.
