Dr. Michael Bryon Spackman, MD

I would like to express my concerns regarding the professional conduct and quality of care I received during my appointment with Dr. Spackman in May 2024. Having reviewed numerous medical notes from various doctors since late 2020, I have found Dr. Spackman's approach to be uniquely characterized by what I perceive as inaccurate and convenient conclusions. His documented statements appear cold, callous, and, at times, malicious, seemingly leveraging moments of patient trauma and pain to his advantage. I have found his remarks to lack genuine concern for individual well-being or unique circumstances, treating patients as a mere number or just another case rather than individuals. It appears he has disengaged from real compassion, acting instead as an instrument for state and social security interests, thereby disregarding the needs of those seeking genuine help and care.

Dr.Spackman is a very professional caring and gental when I'm in his care so very bless to have him as my doctor he takes my pain away I appreciate all he does for me THANK YOU DR.SPACKMAN!!??

Extremely painful injection and absolutely no relief of pain. Never let this person near my back again.

I had been to three other Dr.’s about pain with no concrete answers about what was wrong. I endured physical therapy which seemed to exacerbate the problem. By a process of elimination Dr. Spackman found the problem and sent me to a surgeon. I was so relieved to know there was really something wrong. Dr Spackman was very direct. He took time to explain every step of the way and answer any questions I had. He was kind and caring, the kind of Dr. I would seek to find.

Dr. Spackman did my epidural steroid injections and I was very pleased. He was compassionate and understanding.

I have been treated by doctor Spackman for over 4 years! He is one of my favorite specialist, very caring and compassionate, how ever, last visit with him, nurse gave a cup to pee which I gladly did, I got a call days later telling me there wasn't enough pee to have a test done, I did express to the doctor on that visit that I was having a colonoscopy and endoscopy in the next 2 days, I had a bacterial infection in my stomach, i also got a new phone for Christmas, I have called his office to update my new number, by the time I heard the message, a few days had pass, I call immediately and spoke with his nurse Patricia from the Meridian office on a Thursday, she was rude, demanding me to go to his office to pee again, I asked her if I could go the next day, she told me very rudely that if I didn't show up in the next 30 minutes, I would be discharge! She make me feel as if I have done something wrong, due to the 4 medications I was taking for my bacterial infection I wasn't able to get… up, get ready and drive in the next 30 minutes, so I got a letter of discharge the next Monday, I was so sad, felt like he didn't care after all this years of treatment, I trusted him so much, I don't do drugs, I had no problem peeing for a test, but I'm very disappointed how I was treated, is so sad for me to have to find a new pain management doctor, I just feel the need to tell any doctor, a patient builds trust which is hard, at least for me, I would have at least expect a call from him after all this years, please be more caring with your patiences, thanks and God bless

I feel I got lucky with Dr. Spackman as I knew about him prior to my appointment. I was very pleased with his demeanor and professionalism. He is helping me with migraines and low back issues. He spent a great deal of time with me getting my history and discussing my concerns. On the followup visit, although it was not as long, he spent an adequate amount of time with me and did not rush me out. He is upbeat and congenial. I would highly recommend him.
