Dr. Michael Warren Steger, MD

Saw me after a small wait as I was a new patient to him. Listened to my problems and then worked with me on a plan of attack to treat them. Did not try to treat everything at one visit or overmedicate everything.

Office staff somewhat gruff and Dr. Steger runs late but I always get as much time as I need for all my complaints

It'd be very difficult to find a doctor's office with staff as rude and a doctor as unaccomdating and flippant as Dr. Michael Steger. The inefficiency in the day to day operations is astounding.The physician/patient confidentially is violated essentially with every appointment as the walls between each room are so thin, you can easily hear the conversations between doctor/patient. I particularly liked hearing Dr. Steger counsel a patient on love and divorce while I waited 30 minutes past my appointment in the room next door. I'd had left sooner if they would transfer records on a timely bases but even that is beyond proper management.It's a good thing he's leaving town. The fine folks of West Virginia now how to deal with him.

This guy is not only inept but he's highly defensive. He meets valid health care questions with hostility and treats patients like imbeciles (I know several others). He may have medical knowledge but he has poor social skills and lacks a professional knowledge of family dynamics which is essential for a family physician.

Devotes all the time needed for my complaints. He has electronic prescribing and this eases the time I need to get my prescriptions. Very professional
