If you are looking for an educated physician w/a great bedside manner, Dr Stephens is the physician for you. He stays up on the most recent evidence based practices, treats you like a person, and explains his reasoning in laymen's terms. My husband and I decided to switch our 2-month-old from a pediatrician to Dr Stephens (who is a family practicing physician). Our pediatrician Dr Anna Barber acted as though she really did not care about our son or his well being; she appeared to only be a work for a paycheck (obamacare type doctoring, fast and inefficient). With Dr Mike Stephens, we felt that he cared about our sons well being and was obviously not there just for a paycheck; we never felt rushed, quite the opposite, we felt as though he had all day to talk w/just us. Dr Stephens is a wholesome physician that provides quality care. He is working w/in the constraints of Obamacare and providing intimate and compassionate care. (For example, after bringing our son in because of a… concern we had, Dr Stephens called several days later on a Sunday afternoon to just check up on our son and to see if we had any further concerns or questions). Dr Mike Stephens came highly recommended from our OB-GYN and we have not been disappointed. Actually very much impressed. Our now 4-month-old son has received excellent care. :) Signed very happy and content parents :)

I started seeing Dr. Stephens about a year ago when I got fed up with my other Dr.'s office and never being able to get in, and once I did see the doc it was rushed and impersonal. Dr. Stephens immediately made me feel comfortable. Let me first tell you, that I have never had an exam done by him, but have gone in for consults on 3 different occasions. All three occasions I have never spent less than 45 mins with him. I saw him b/c my husband and I were having a hard time conceiving, so needless to say every time I was an emotional wreck. I cried, whined, laughed, basically he saw every emotion from me and still sat there and calmed me down, reassured me that he will help and never ever ended a session until he was certain I had got my answers and needs met. His nurse is just as awesome, I have had to call her many times and she always calls back that day within an hour or so. She is just as professional and easy going as Dr. Stephens. Once I had found out I was pregnant I went… in to confirm and both of them were so excited for me and so thrilled, it made me feel like a human and not just another patient number like I did at my old clinic. Albeit, their front office staff could use some lessons in courteousy, don't let their attitude and smugness affect your view of how Dr. Stephens operates. I finally have found a doc that I can trust and feel comfortable around.

So very caring and especially good about educating about what the problem is, it's cause and treatment plan. Excellent care and joyful, caring supportive staff.
