Dr. Michael Ross Sternberg, MD

I have known Dr. Michael R. Sternberg for 20 years. He is an excellent Psychiatrist. He is professional, caring, experienced, a good listener and incredibly smart in his field. He is concerned with the person as a whole and thoroughly investigates the issues before offering a professional solution. I cannot recommend Dr. Sternberg highly enough.

Michael Sternberg saved my life for four long years. And, those were the best of my life. He was generous, kind, and everything to help me. Yet suddenly and unexpectedly my life was turned upside down and he dropped my to live with an unbearable pain, hurt, and to tackle my demons alone and afraid. It took a long time to trust. However, after months of searching, I have found a great psychiatrist and the support of group therapy. My path has deviated, but it has yet to consume me. There, the reasons for the mixed feelings. To be dumped by your psychiatrist when you need them the most is the most humiliating feeling, leaving you with a great sense of abandonment and lack of self-esteem.

Dr. Sternberg is GREAT! He spends all of the time required to ascertain our medication needs. He seems to understand exactly what it takes to overcome problem symptoms. If you feel your doctor has run out of medication options, consider seeing Dr. Sternberg!

He is the best doctor around, bar none. He knows his stuff, inside and out and he treats you like a person, with respect. He incorporates your feedback into the process and listens for real. His knowledge is unparalleled and I would say he is the best anywhere around here.

Dr. Sternberg is by far the most educated, kind doctor we as a family have ever gone too. He listens and does not just fling out diagnosis. In emergencies he has called us back even if he is out of state. There is no doctor I respect more. Thank you Dr. Sternberg for all you do.

Dr. Sternberg saved my son's life. After years of seeing another psychiatrist and getting many wrong medications for depression/bi-polar illness, my son went to Dr. Sternberg. He is the most caring and attentive doctor I've ever met. He worked closely with my son to find the right medicine for his illness and he gave him the encouragement and support he needed during the process. My son went from being suicidal and unable to leave his bed to eagerly looking forward to graduate school in the Fall. I highly recommend Dr. Sternberg.

He can diagnosis with his attentive listening and help patient become accepting of their illness because it can be healed with medication and appts. He can offer his viewpoint on a particular event in your life with honesty and good judgement. Is relaxed, is not abrasive or opinionated. A great asset to psychiatry in this busy metrpolitan area.
