Dr. Michael Edward Stewart, MD

Just tried to schedule. Receptionist was...something else. First asked if I was even in Detroit Lakes. After stating I was not, that my insurance had their office listed as being a telehealth possibility, I asked if that was true. She said yes, then asked "are you even in the state of Minnesota". I stated yes, and then she asked what I needed to be seen for. I stated I wasn't sure how to qualify that, that I was working through things in life that I could use some assistance with. She asked "well do you want a video chat or what do you want". I stated I wasn't sure how this worked, as I haven't done this before, and asked what was available. She THEN states that they aren't accepting new patients... at the very end of all of this... Glad it didn't pan out (calling it a blessing in disguise), because if this is how the "face" of this office is, I sure didn't want to know how anything else goes here... just wow. I don't have issue with what was being asked (all the information "demanded"… was relevant), but there were a million other ways to go about it rather than the ones she chose. Not to mention, why go through all of that if they're not accepting new patients. Hope this saves someone else the trouble.
