Dr. Michael H Stoker, MD

This dude is one of the worst human beings ive ever met. He treated my girlfriend like a peice of trash and he even told her she was a waste of breath. He should lose his practice and anything else hes been lucky enough to have. What a terrible person.

Has no business treating patience with suboxone. Clueless to weening process. Wait time could be up To 2 hours.

I saw Dr. Stoker a few years ago after Dr. Rogney left the office. He was undoubtedely the rudest dr or person that I have ever encountered. I like the other person posting here, had been on pain mgmt for several years. I was not seeking drugs, just needed the medicine prescribed. He treated me like a criminal. Suggested that I wasn't taking medicine properly etc. I left his office very upset and never returned. I was very sick for some time due to not being able to see a physician right away. He was convinced that I was "drug seeking". He seemed to have come kind of mindset that anyone with chronic pain had to be abusers and that maybe he was going to clean up the world (or at least Wytheville). Good luck!! I hear that their business has decreased since his arrival. I wouldn't take my dog to that man!

He was professional, pleasant, and competent. If you want someone who is highly charismatic and acts like your best friend, perhaps this is not your doctor. Charisma does not equate with competence, and I prefer competence.

I went to see Dr.Michael Stocker afeter the previous doctor at Wythe Medical had resigned... Dr. Michael Stocker seen me for my pain Managment, and He didn't acknoledge me except for asking me where my pain was and then sat there talking to his self for a few min meanwhile I was trying to talk about the weather (neutral conversation) and he didn't even answer me and totally made me feel like i was just another pebel in his shoe!!! I came for a follow up that next month to consult about continuing my meds. and he counted the days wrong and acused me of being a drug abuser and/or a drug dealer!!! I have never been treated or insulted like that by another physician, and most certainly will not contiue to see this so called "MD" To anyone that reads this I STRONGLY urge people to see another Dr. I am appaled at his actions, misjudgements, and false acusations!!!

Two or more hour waiting time is typical. Doctor demonstrated little interest in me. Several months later, I requested a referral due to blood in stool. It took over a week for the office to finally arrange an initial consult with an appropriate specialist. Practice appeared indifferent and tired to my eyes. While not unpleasant, the office staff definitely appeared more interested in personal conversations than patient concerns.
