Dr. Michael Dean Tharp, MD

Dr. Tharp is personable, practical, and knowledgeable. I have felt heard and understood. If I was misinformed, he shed light without condescending. These are rare and invaluable qualities, let alone in a physician of his experience. His treatment of my blistering disease has changed the quality of my life! Five stars are not enough to rate that. I don't know who those other people are rating. They're allowed their opinion as well. But if 3.5 stars is Dr. Tharp's average, I'll tell you right now there aren't enough people doing as they were taught to say, "thank you." And I'm coloring outside the lines. That man deserves every laudatory act that's coming to him.

I was reschedule at least 3 times because he had "meetings". Although he has a very lovely front staff and medical assistants, it can't related to his horrible bedside manners. Try to be funny when patients are obviously having skin issues. Had to wait for at least 2 hours and was greeted by manager who is a push over. Handing out free parking and food tickets for waiting so long. I just wanted to be seen not fed. Won't see him again

The worst part about the wait was that I was told by the office staff that a LONG delay is pretty normal there. I can't even say it was because the Dr. was so great and spent a ton of time talking with me. He was in and out in about 5 minutes which leads me to believe the delays were due to scheduling and having no respect for the patients time.

I have been to many, many doctors for treatment of urticaria (constant hives). Dr. Tharp is the first to really help. Thousands of dollars have been wasted - with no relief until now. I am so thankful for his time and focus.

My experience was bad from start to finish....my appointment with this doctor was rescheduled three times....the receptionist told me that Dr. Tharp doesnt really take care of patients, he gives lectures.....when on my forth attempt i did have my appointment, I waited nearly two hours...and after seeing an asistant, a medical student, an absolutely clueless and incompetent resident I was graced by Dr. Tharps presence for all of 30 seconds and told i have a pretty face and don't deserve to have acne. he then let the resident doctor pick the prescriptions with which to treat my acne right in front of me....obviously he didn't know what to do....and obviously I will not be back
