Worse doctor i have ever had. Major damage to a few discs and all he could say was take aspirin. I recommend finding a different doctor. I finally found something that helps on my own research. He limits lifting to 10 pounds but says you can work through the pain full time. The 2nd opinion doctor immediately took me out of the work force seeing i couldn't do my work . His nurse said too much paperwork. So he let me suffer for a decade.

Dr Totta has been wonderful. Referred me to dr Binette and had very successful lumbar fusion. I think he is a wonderful diagnostician. I disagree with some reviews. He was a good listener and very knowledgeable . He sure helped me .

I had migraine headaches as a result of a whiplash injury. He gave me tests which I only realized later were intended to determine if I were faking. He is condescending and paternalistic. He's also got a huge ego which makes him very confident when he should not be confident because he's an inferior doc. He didn't bother to use any kind of protection against radiation when he did x-rays. I suppose he doesn't believe in things he can't see. Not an intelligent man. I am writing this now 15 years after the car accident. I still get neck headaches from the accident that he didn't believe I had an injury because he could see the damage. Soft tissue doesn't show damage in an x-ray. There is nothing quite like being disbelieved when one is in great pain.

Guy accused me of being a malinger. I still have headaches 12 years later.

I saw Dr. Totta when he was still at OA. It was a follow up to a visit five years prior, with another physician at the practice who had taken X-rays and guided me toward Sports Medicine, a long and expensive endeavor. Dr. Totta said he reviewed the former X-rays and that in fact, not only did I have some concerning back issues at my fourth and fifth lumbar but also arthritis. He insisted that an injection would be both an analgesic and diagnostic next step, yet would not explain details. I went with it because OA is reputed as one of the best practices in town and he had been personally referred to me. Afterward, he told me there was nothing to do but some "dying bug" type crunches and to go "live my life." He was rather condescending and arrogant, and not willing to explain further. I did not return, but paid did my bill. It was certainly not cheap. Today, I learned from my PCP who took her own X-rays for a five year update since my last visit at OA that there is no arthritis… whatsoever. I had a second professional view the X-rays to make sure. Confirmed, no arthritis and never has been. Additionally, it appears the issues are soft tissue related, possibly bursitis or tendonitis, but overall bone, particularly spine, is healthy, with no compression and plenty of appropriate space. What a waste of time and money, money being the operative word on the provider side. Litigious is not my nature, but gee, I'm finding myself quite angry, and am having to start the diagnosis process all over again.

The whole visit was a very good experience. Dr. Totta made me feel very comfortable. He listens to me and he was right up front with his diagnosis. I would go to Dr. Totta again. Thank You, Nancy Arsenault

I have see Doctor Totta for about 6 years now. He is the best. Excellent bedside manner and makes you feel whole again. Thanks Doctor Totta for what you do!

yep if you don't have an obviouse issue you are a fake dont bring this man anything your pcp cant handle, he is a closed minded person if he cant see it its not there its in your head....................

Thinks he is wonderful. Very condescending and a poor diagnostician. If you asked him he would say " I'm Mr. wonderful ". Not really. What you are is arrogant and full of yourself.

Many surgeries have left me a chronic pain patient. Dr Totta has helped me considerably. I have never met a doctor (and I have met many) who is as knowledgeable, kind, who listens, instead of enjoying the sound of his own voice, and cares as much as he does. I have received quality care from him and his staff. I highly recommend.
