Dr. Michael P Weingarten, DO

I have been a patient of Dr. Weingarten's since 1973. Over the past 40+ years, he has been in practice with at least 3 other doctors, I have moved to at least 3 different states and through it all, he has remained my primary physician. Why you might ask. Well, the answer is simple, Dr. Weingarten cares for his patients. Not only that, he treats the patient, not the symptoms. Many doctors become stuck in their ways after practicing for many years, not Dr. Weingarten. He also doesn't mind learning something new--whether it is from a medical conference or the latest technology. I remember him using an electronic device to order my prescriptions. I was in shock. I never saw him as one who would use technology in his practice. He never ceases to amaze. He is a special doctor with a great bedside manner--albeit it a little coarse if you don't follow doctor's orders. And he will swear at you if the mood strikes him, but it is all in love. One of my fondest memories of… Dr. Weingarten was when I told him that I didn't want him to retire because I've never had another primary care physician and I didn't trust anyone but him. I am tearing up as I type, because he got teary-eyed that day and said that he will miss his patients when he retires. I know Dr. Weingarten won't be practicing for much longer, but I am a very grateful patient. I am happy to have known him and to have had him care for me for so many years!

I have been see Dr Weingarten as a Primary Care Doctor for a long time. I like him as a Doctor and a Friend! I like his work, I think that he is a Great Doctor. I followed him over from Palmyra. I think that I would follow him do matter where he would move!
