Dr. Michael Allen Wilensky, MD

Dr. Wilensky was friendly. And he encouraged me to come back and see him in 6 months. Unfortunately—as he seemed ill-prepared for our visit, appeared to be working off of outmoded clinical standards, and spent much of the visit …for lack of a better word… “nodding off”—I won’t be booking that follow up. Waste of time. Glad I opted not to cancel my appointment with another neurologist at another area facility next month. This was NOT the Ochsner standard of care we’ve come to expect.

Appointment was easy to get. Same week.He arrived on time, I didn't have to wait and wait for him to show up. He got to the point didn't dance around it or equivocate. He asks questions and if you answer him honestly the appointment can be constructive. He was direct, did the preliminary tests, questioned me thoroughly, told me what he was finding, explained the implications of arriving at a preliminary diagnosis. Gave me clear instructions on what to do next and easily convinced me to do these things. I think he knows what he's doing. I recommend him.

Very hard to get through to this office. Calls are not returned for days sometimes. Have messed up on my refills several times. They need to get more organized .

We were very impressed, highly recommended!

When noone else could get me a diagnoses, he did. He also used a not well known treatment that did great for me. He comes off a little brash, but once you get to know him and vice-verca, he makes jokes and everything.
