Dr. Michael Mcfall Wilkinson, MD

I’ve been a patient at a pain clinic in Bristol for years. My pain was never well controlled, and I have been taking a lot of medicine. My doctor left the area, and I was assigned Dr Wilkinson. I was very nervous when I heard that he doesn’t prescribe a lot of medicine. When I met him, he was kind and listened to me and explained why he recommended the things he did. That was a few months ago. He has slowly been decreasing the narcotics I’m taking and I’m actually feeling so much better. Not only that, but I’m clearer headed, and I’m a lot less forgetful. I was doubtful at first, but I am so glad that I started seeing him. Thank you thank you.

Great doctor and person. He clearly really cares about his patients. I’ve never had a doctor go out of his way so much as Dr Wilkinson has.

I have gone to several pain doctors in East Tennessee to try to get relief. I don’t want drugs. I just want to feel better and be able to function. Everyone has either tried to put me on narcotics or tell me there is nothing they can do. I finally went to John Hopkins to try to get some answers. They talked to me about some newer treatments, and I finally started getting some relief. They recommended that I see Dr Wilkinson, and I am so glad that they did. He has continued the treatment plan they started and I have felt better and better. I wish I had started here and not wasted all this time.

I am a retired healthcare professional, and I can say without a doubt that Dr. Wilkerson is one of the best doctors I have ever been around. As a nurse in the military, I had the chance to witness all kinds of physicians from good to bad and everything in between. This guy is great. My wife and I joke that if he ever moves practices, we are going to have to move with him. Respectful, professional, and caring.

My husband and I are both so pleased with Dr Wilkerson. He gave me hope when other doctors said there is nothing they could do. Now I feel like I have my life back.

I am so thankful that my doctor sent me to Dr Wilkinson. He spent time with me and listened. He is one of the only doctors I seen that don’t talk down to patients. I’ve had shots in my back before that didn’t work but the ones he gave me worked great.

I was very hesitant to go to a pain clinic in the first place, but when I met Dr Wilkinson, all of my fears went away. He sat with me for almost an hour, listening to my complicated medical history. I am so used to doctors interrupting me and cutting me off because I know they only have so long with each patient. I told Dr Wilkinson this I understood if he needed to go, but he said that he spends as long as a patient needs. How refreshing. After his exam, he explained to me what was causing my pain in a way that no one has before. He used examples and didn’t speak in medical jargon, and I understood for the first time. I was really nervous when he talked about burning nerves in my back, but he walked me through what that meant, making me feel better about the plan. This was about 6 months ago, and I have gone from almost always being at a 9 out of 10 on pain to maybe having pain that is occasionally a 1 out of 10. I have sent people from church to see Dr Wilkinson, and they have… had similar experiences. We are so lucky to have someone like him in our area.

I have had chronic pain for years and have tried everything to get relief. I have seen multiple doctors and surgeons. Nothing has made things any better, until I started being treated by Dr Wilkinson. He is kind, caring and diagnosed the problem right away. After just a couple of treatments I’m now able to function so much better. I carried my grand daughter for the first time (something I wasn’t able to do before because of my pain) and it meant the world to me.

I have been seeing Dr Wilkinson for two years now, and I have never met a kinder, more caring doctor. He listens and takes his time with me. He even prayed with me before my procedure. I’m saddened to read the other review because there is no way that person is talking about my doctor.

I will not be visiting his practice in Johnson City again!!!! I could over hear the comments he was making to his staff, particularly a nurse named EMILY, and it was nothing short of FILTH! This man claims to be married but he’s out here acting like a horny, single 18 year old. Grow up!!
