Dr. Michael Bruce Wittels, MD

I had a planter fascia. He spent less than a minute to me. they charged 30-44 min exercise to my bill. he is not fair who is not caring about you. I don't recommend that doctor.

Two months ago, I broke my shoulder and I've been visiting this office every 10 days I reached his office in such pain and disconfort. Dr Wittels treated me with the knowledge of an old school physician who looks you in your eyes, with great clinical skills, who treats his patients with a real interest and care about them. All his staff is wonderful. They are always ready to help. They are bilinguals and treat all patients with knowledge and respect. I recommend Dr Wittels and his office. They are a wonderful team. I would like to mention they have a physical therapy team, that are also wonderful.

Was referred to Dr by ER but had terrible experience overall. First time, he simply sent me to bigger ER to have fluid removed from knee. On followup, arrived in terrible pain in wheelchair and was kept waiting about 45 minutes in small, freezing, unattractive exam room. Could here the good dr. chatting next door about his house's elevation, the coming storm, etc. His exam was perfunctory, his manner arrogant and dismissive and his personality totally unempathetic. Probably one of the worst medical visits of my life and I'm not a young person.

This doctor spent 10 minutes asking me stupid questions about New York City. I wasn’t interested in discussing where I used to live and politely asked if he had seem my expats from the emergency room. I looked down at my phone to my notes and when I looked up he had walked out of the office. When I asked where he was to an assistant I was told he wasn’t coming back. When I confronted him he said I was busy on my phone. I got no formal evaluation and no treatment plan. I was told to just come back in two weeks. I have a dislocated bone in my shoulder and he couldn’t even be bothered to look at it without my shirt. I was referred by Mount Sinai hospital emergency room where I was taken after a bad fall off of my bike into the boulders at the seawall at Biscayne day in South Beach. This doctor clearly needs to retire!

There may be a wait to see Dr. Wittels, he may not spend a lot of time with you, but he knows what he is doing and his patients get excellent care.

best surgeon in town

I suffered for over a year with a frozen shoulder and went to 2 doctors with no relief. Then I went to see Dr Wittels. I pain free now with full range movement. My only regret is I wish I had gone to see him first. He is a wonderful orthopedic surgeon and I would not go to anyone else. His office is very busy, and I understand why. He is the BEST. He also has the very best physical therapy department that is right in the office for your convenience.

Dr Wittels met all of my expectations and then some. I would highly recommend.
