Dr. Michael Neal Yaker, MD

Dr Yaker is amazing! We went through so many things with our son, who is now 2.5 years old. Although we moved to Brooklyn, we are still seeing Dr. Yaker as I cannot find a comparable replacement for him in our area. He is truly indispensable; provides accurate diagnosis, and, most importantly, his level of experience allows him to remain calm & composed in the most extreme circumstances.

I had my first child 2 months ago and he has been under the care of Dr. Yaker since birth. Dr. Yaker is extremely kind, patient, and diligent. My son has had a persistant cough since he was about 4 weeks old, and Dr. Yaker has given him incredible care. He returns calls right away, and did not make me feel like I was being a crazy neurotic first time mom! In fact, he encouraged me to come to the office and call as often as needed. He called to follow up when he did not hear from me for a few days, and sent me to a specialist as an added precaution. (He actually called the specialist to get me an appointment right away so that my son can be looked at without delay.) My praise for Dr. Yaker applies to the rest of the Drs, PAs, nurses, and office workers as well. Everyone in the practice has been exceptional in all interactions. I would recommend Dr. Yaker and West Side Pediatrics to any parent looking for a pediatrician!

Both of my daughters are patients of Dr. Yaker. He is truly amazing.... We moved to upper Westchester and still stayed with him and always will.... he has an amazing way of clearly diagnosing a problem with accuracy the first time around.... my entire family loves him and would never switch. If you are looking for "the best" peditrician in New York... you found him.

Dr. Yaker has been my kids' pediatrician since my son was born (8 years ago!) He has seen us through a lot - including one tricky autoimmune disease that most other doctors (not just pediatricians) would have missed. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yaker - he is tops!!!
