My 6 month old son seen Dr. Yap today for the second time. He explained everything he needed to do answered all my questions before he did the procedure.. He was very gentle and caring he took great care of my little man!! And when he was done he went over his care and made sure my questions were answered and I understood everything.. I would highly recommend Dr. Yap!!!

I hope the mother who wrote a review about this doctor is talking about the same Dr Michael Yap I visited at Nemours in Downtown Jacksonville. At first, I was hesitant for my 8th month son to be on anesthesia while doing the circumcision. However, I knew my son was in very good hands. Dr Yap gave us a thorough layout of before, during, and after the procedure. He made us feel very comfortable. My husband and I were very well impressed. I wouldn't have asked for anyone better. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr Yap!

Dr. Yap presented two options for my sons circumcision and he leaned more towards the option that would require my son undergoing anesthesia at around 8 months of age on the operating table. I was shocked at the short amount of time that he spent in the office with me and my son, approximately 5-7 minutes. I sought out a second and third opinion about my son's circumcision and also conducted my own research on the risks associated with later circumcision and anesthesia. I was able to have my son beautifully circumcised without the need for unnecessary anesthesia. As a mother, I would not recommend Dr. Michael K. Yap.
