Dr. Michael Joe Yium, MD

Dr. Yium has been my ENT for a number of years. He’s always been attentive, he takes his time listening to make sure he understands the issues that I’m experiencing. He discusses optional treatment plans if necessary. He follows up if plans are implemented. He is genuinely solution oriented. Dr.Yium’s staff are equally professional, respectful and are pretty to respond to phone calls regarding meds or to pass along a message to Dr. Yium. The office uses various methods to notify you about upcoming appointments I can’t be more pleased with the care that I’ve received from Dr. Yium and Staff.

I developed a lump and was referred to Dr. Yuim. I had to have a biopsy which was a scary and then had to wait for results. Dr. Yuim's quiet and patient demeanor was very calming and he was very gentle too. I would recommend him to anyone needing an ENT. He listens to his patients and cares.

Very unsatisfied with Michael Yium. I sent their office a refill for a hose for a CPAP machine and they "lost" the refill. After 3 weeks called them back and told them my health insurance expired in 2 days and needed the replacement hose ASAP. Dr. Yium's response was that I needed to come in for a followup appt. Which of course there is no way to do that since my insurance expired today. I talked to several folks in the office including his nurse Kim and the office manager Jan Miller. Very inflexible and unwilling to make an exception in my case. I'll take my business elsewhere. These folks seem more interested in getting patients to come for appts (even when COMPLETELY unnecessary) and billing insurance. No thank you.

Lost appointment, wrong xray/scan ordered, misplaced records, unwilling to share information with my other Doctors, confusion and indecision.Very uncomfortable with this Doctor and Austin ENT

Every time we have an appt, although we are roomed at the time of the appt, once we are in the room, we wait 30 minutes or longer, so I hardly consider this to be an ontime appt. Bedside manner needs to be improved. Dr. Yium was brief and abrupt, and I didn't ge the sense that he cared and bascially wanted to be done as soon as possible.Follow through at the office needs to be better. I called to make sure the visit was covered by insurance, no one called me back, went to the office the next day and was assured someone would call me back, no one did, so I had to call again.
