Dr. Michael Joseph Zachareas, MD

Dr. Zachareas is very professional doctor. He made me feel at ease answered all my questions clearly and completely. He has been treating me for over three years and I recommend him highly to anyone who seeks a caring and respectful urologist. His office staff are wonderful to work with and very attentive. I have nothing negative to say about him or his staff. Recommend very highly.

He had a stent in me for 6 weeks tried 3 different procedures to get a kidney stone out. He uses a surgicaoil suite in tha Cummings center. Of course I had to wait until that was available as that's much cheaper than using the hospital OR. since then I've heard of several people ha has ecrewed up. Now I know of a woman with colon cancer and he has a stent in her and she is in agony just as I was I couldn't move from the bed to a chair for 6 weeks and it brought on a condition called costochondritis which I'm now stuck with due to the stress. Aside from the fact all over his Reception Area a sign advertising that that he runs weight loss clinics is he that hard up for money his license should be revoked?

He is a hack I had to have a second surgery to fix what he mutilated !! I had severe pain and my bladder fell 5 months after he "fixed" it. He sucks and I couldn't even be intimate with my husband due to excruciating pain!!!! Don't get surgery with this asshack!!!

I would not let this guy work on a Rat!!!

I was in a great deal of pain and was able to make an appointment right away. The staff and Dr. Z were great!

My experience with Dr. Zachareas and staff was excellent. I was given an appointment right away for a kidney stone and had it taken care of right away. I would definitely recommend him.

I had a very minor procedure done and not only did I have a great experience with the entire staff they called me a week later to make sure I was doing okay and that I was happy with everything! I highly recommend Dr. Z & his crew!

Diagnosis with a kidney stone. It was the worst pain I've ever felt. Dr. Zachareas was accommodating, capable, and made me feel at ease. His office staff was wonderful to deal with and very attentive. He had me all set within two weeks. I can't thank him and his staff enough. I have also been to him before for other issues which were resolved successfully as well. I would be glad to recommend him to family and friends.

I was referred to Dr. Zachareas after a visit to a local ER with terrible pain in my lower left side-ER doc diagnosed a large kidney stone. I saw Dr. Zachareas the very next day (he saw me on his day off) and I was scheduled to have a stent put in the day after that. He tried to explain to us what the medical plan was but I couldn't quite follow all the details because of the intense pain. It was clear that he had done this many times before which put me at ease a bit. The Surgery Center, just down the hall from his office, was convenient and the staff/nurses were very professional. I had the stent put in and a week later received lithotripsy therapy to break up the large kidney stone. Finally, two weeks after my initial ER visit, the stent was removed, I am stone free and, much to my relief, pain free. I found the care provided by Dr. Zachareas, his staff and the Surgery Center to be caring, professional, and most importantly, accurate. They were understanding and still saw… me even when I was late for two of my appointments. The cost is going to be huge even though we carry insurance due to co-payments (Harvard Pilgrim). While the whole process of dealing with a kidney stone is very painful and uncomfortable in general, Dr. Zachareas and staff helped make me as comfortable as possible while working to elimate my stone(s). I would definately recommend this office to anyone who needs urologic care on the north shore.

I have been going to Dr Z for 3 yrs now for female urology problems. I went thru 3 other urologists before I found him. He was the only doctor who took the time with me to listen and figure out my problem and then he was able to get it under control. I find him to be caring, patient with me and he explains everything in detail with visuals to answer all my questions. His staff is also excellent!
