There will never be enough space to express how grateful and happy I am with my treatment with Dr. Zenn. We are so lucky to have someone of his experience and skill in this area. Not only is he the best in the business - he and his team go above and beyond before, during and after surgery. Thanks to Dr. Zenn's surgical artistry, this 50 year-old teacher now has bikini-beautiful abs & pretty-perky eyes that match my athletic lifestyle & reflect my peppy personality! Not only has Dr. Zenn beautifully tightened a loose lower eyelid resulting from decades of severe allergies/itchy eyes, he also performed a miraculous abdominoplasty that removed a large vertical scar below my belly button—left after cyst removal decades ago. Though my center abdominal muscles were separated by the cyst-removal surgery, Dr, Zenn knitted them back together, removed excess belly fat, eliminated my vertical scar, & created a firm, slim, tight abdomen—one that showcases the core workouts I've been doing ever since delivering four babies.

Two-Dr Zenn had done a beautiful job on closing facial surgeries I had due to skin cancers. His artistic perspective shows in his attention to detail Three-Dr Zenn and his staff are accessible and welcoming. They were available pre and post surgery to address questions as they came up for me. Dr Zenn’s bedside manner is calm and reassuring- not at all distant or contrived. And four- I was comfortable with Dr Zenn’s natural approach to plastic surgery. I did not want to look different but wanted a more youthful version of me. Dr Zenn delivered the result I was hoping for and I would highly recommend him to someone searching for the right match in a… plastic surgeon.

I had a bilateral mastectomy. I was 73 years old and this wonderful brilliant surgeon and staff made my reconstruction surgery a beautiful experience. I was so blessed to have this awesome man as my doctor. I cannot praise him and his staff enough. Thank you for my beautiful breast and caring so much for me. After 15 years of pain from capsular contracture and hematomas, I consulted the first Duke surgeon. He informed me that he would not perform the surgery, because the same problems might reoccur. The staff, then, highly recommended Dr. Zenn, as they felt he was the best and most qualified for this type of revision reconstructive procedure. Most important, when I met with him, I could ask questions and get answers regarding the diagnosis, surgical procedures, and options available to me. And we discussed possible complications with my health issues. Since surgery, I have been pain free and happy with the results!

Making the decision to prophylactically remove your breasts at 34 is not an easy one to make. If you are like me, it requires a lot of work and even more careful deliberation and planning. There is research on top of research: researching statistics behind the decision, procedures, methods, and finally researching physicians. The later is the hardest part. I do not believe that all providers are created equal and it is oddly easier to research an electric toothbrush than it is a surgeon. Now, after surgery, I am absolutely elated that I decided to put my medical faith in Dr. Zenn. He gave me more options for reconstruction than any other doctor in the NC Piedmont. Even better than promises, he delivered. I am in utter disbelief regarding how well I healed and how truly amazing my result are. I do not mourn my former self in the least. In fact, my latest problem is a compulsion to show my new breasts to anyone who is willing to see them. All of my dread about my procedure… feels like it was completely in vain. I cannot thank Duke, Dr. Zenn, Jo Ann and all involved in my bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction enough. Their kindness and absolute professionalism was such as I have never experienced it in a healthcare setting before. I could not be more pleased with my experience.

LOVE HIM!! Dr. Is the most caring dr I have ever been to. When I found out I was going to have to have a mastectomy, I decided, "well, if it HAS to be, I want the BEST dr because if I'm going to do it, I them to be perfect. Spectacular!" Researching across the United States landed me at Dr. Zenn's door. He is not just a plastic surgeon, but also a vascular (micro) surgical pioneer. It was a good thing because he was able to do the impossible. What other Drs could/would not do, Dr. Zenn accomplished brilliantly. He always listens and is kind (stern when needed) and commands the respect of those who work with him. He put my worried younger children at ease when they accompanied me. Dr. Zenn is the "IT" doctor! Now, I can go and be "SPECTACULAR!!" :-)

It is rare that one finds a physician who is superb in every way. Dr. Zenn possesses the expertise and experience one hopes to find in their physician. While he's extremely professional in his manner he is very kind and caring . His nurse, Joann is also excellent and together they took extraordinary care of me during my breast re construction surgery. In every way they exceeded my expectations!
