Dr. Michael Andrew Zimmer, MD

Dr Zimmer practice is one I have never experienced such. No crowded waiting room. Extensive testing and questions with a follow up packet that no other doctor provides in my life. He has immense experience and I feel very lucky to have come accross him. The staff is excellent and I wish I knew of him when I first moved to St Petersburg. Highly recommended

I have been with Dr. Zimmer for almost 10 years. I have received nothing but excellent care from him and his staff over the years. He is truly a professional and caring doctor. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor in this area. I have had some serious health issues just this past month and he saw me immediately and got me back on the road to recovery. It is such a relief to have such a wonderful physician caring for me during these times. Thank you again, Dr. Zimmer.

I have been with Dr Zimmer for over 12 and a half to 13 years, with a multitude of problems Dr Zimmer and his staff has always been there for me day in Day out and even on the weekdays I couldn't be more pleased with the office staff and all that they have done for me and my family they're always consistent and always willing to help at any time day or night I join Dr Zimmer's concierge program which is benefited me greatly we all have good and bad days as well as I have good and bad days however Dr Zimmer is a wonderful wonderful physician he does his work he researches I can't thank the staff in his office for all they do for me

NOT about care. Zimmer dropped patients with no notice to become a "Boutique" medical facility...More $$$!! I was switched to Dr. Toms, very dry, never felt caring. Dessie (the best PA ever) left. I don't blame her. I am quitting as I was humiliated at front desk about payment due from years ago that I was never informed of. I'M DONE!

He continues, year after year to provide excellent clinical, medical exams and treatments to both my wife and I. We will both reach 70 this year and are most satisfide and elated at his friendly yet professional objectives through more than 10 years of being our Primary Doctor. As a result, great wellness was obtained through excellent diagnosis of some serious health issues. He has great partnering of highly skilled specialist at his immediate disposal. His staff is awesome too.

Feb 01, 2018 I have been with Dr Zimmer and his family for the past 14 years, Dr Zimmers expertise and care goes above and beyond as well as his entire staff. I will never leave his practice. I have been going here for years and unfortunately received poor care at my last visit with one of the nurses. I waited over 45 minutes to have my annual visit. This turned out to be just listening to my heart beat, breathing and taking blood pressure. She reviewed my blood test results and that was it. No taking my temperature, looking in my ears, nose, mouth, checking reflexes, nothing. She asked if anything else was going on and I said, well my shoulder hurts every now and then but I think it's because of the way I am sleeping. She said she would put a note into the DR and see what he says. She was not very personable and since there were new faces in the office I asked how long she had been there - turns out she's been there for years but said " I try to hide out in the back" . This does not give me much confidence. When I left I mentioned to Mattie that I was not happy with my visit, that it was not a full exam, that my appt was 45 minutes late and she fumbled on the computer for… most of the time I was back there. I told her if that was my first visit, I would never return. She was not surprised. I got a call a couple days later to go see a specialist. Then I receive a bill in the mail from Dr Zimmer for more than an annual visit. I called and spoke with an office admin and she said she'd try to correct it. She spoke with the office manager and DR Zimmer, all he would say to her was it was coded correctly. He was not even concerned about the lack of care I received and my concerns. The admin said this has been a problem with this nurse. I saw a similar reported incident on Healthgrades. What is really concerning is that neither the office manager or Dr called to discuss this with me. I am extremely disappointed and will not return. I was not "treated like family". Sad to say it's time to find a new DR after all these years!

Dr Zimmer was in the office when I walked in with symptoms of a heart attack. He refused to see me and kept his appointments with his fellow physicians and pharmaceutical representatives. I waited over two hours to be seen.

Zimmer is more Business Manage than "doctor"
