Dr. Michel Jules Mazouz

STAY AWAY: literally the worst doctors office in LA. Starting from the receptionist. The rudest lady I've encountered. Screams at you, degrades you, hangs up on you when she doesn't want to talk anymore. Will refuse to help you with ANYTHING. If all you need is a bandaid, maybe it's a good doctor but if you have any questions or need any sort of referral, don't waist your time. I never leave reviews but this doctors office was beyond horrible. On top of that, they will just randomly send you multiple Bills for no reason and when you call to see why you got a bill, they'll just hang up on you.

Although Dr. Mazouz is a wonderful doctor, his staff is disorganized. Even if I am one of the first appointments of the day I can expect to wait over an hour to see him. Also, it can take up to a dozen phone calls to get someone to return to either me or my pharmacy. I will be looking for another doctor because the staff is so unresponsive.

I had the first appointment of the day, 9AM. I, and the staff, were all there before 9; the doctor did not come in until 9:20 and took me five minutes later...not too impressive and a bit discourteous. Also the office was quite untidy and messy with supplies piled on counters and window sills. He seemed very nice; this was my first visit with him and he seemed interested and concerned.

Dr. Mazouz is mediocre at best. Staff, however, is friendly and helpful. I get an appointment when I need to, usually for the same day. Staff is what makes me keep on going there, not the doctor. Time to change? :)

I chose this doctor as my primary care physician. It took me 4 calls to get an appointment...the first call we were disconnected in the middle of the call and nobody called me back despite the fact I'd already given my phone number...second call someone answers the phone "Hello?" and then hangs up...third call I get a receptionist who didn't speak any English and told me I had to call back in the morning to talk to someone...4th call I speak with Vanessa who said she was the office manager...I specifically told her why I was coming and asked if the doctor could see me or if I needed to just book with a specialist. She said the doctor could handle the problem. Fast forward to my appointment which was supposedly the first of the morning, yet there were people ahead of me and I had to wait. Once I saw the doctor he was very nice and seemed helpful, but when I told him why I was there he said he couldn't help me and I needed to see a specialist. I said, OK, while I'm here can you test… me for ADHD...he said, no but you can go to Web MD and do an ADHD self test and send me the results...in the mean time I can "give" you some pills that may help. Well, his giving me pills meant I needed to buy some diet pills for $36. How are diet pills going to help my possible ADHD?? I asked if there was an alternate prescription so that my insurance would cover it for less. Nope, I just have to pay $36, insurance doesn't cover it. I tried the pills for a few days and they didn't help. I went on Web MD and got a self diagnosis which I faxed to the doctor...NO REPLY! I waited a few days and called back. The receptionists said they never got a fax despite my having a confirmation they received it. I asked to speak with the doctor. After speaking with several people they refused to let me speak with him. I asked to have him call me and he never did. This guy just seems like some kind of scam to sell diet pills.

This Doctor was rude and completely dismissive about valid information regarding someone on his staff using marijuana and proudly displaying such inappropriate behavior publicly on the internet. Most places of business make employees aware that what they do off the clock can and will affect their professional life because they are a reflection of the company they work for. A nurse half-naked in a "naughty nurse" outfit is not my idea of professionalism and neither is bragging about being "high" on marijuana on an often basis when your job is to be awake and aware when caring for patients. I would never recommend this Doctor or his staff to anyone.

Great, caring doctor with a very mild manner. The staff is cheery, capable and accommodating. He usually seems a little rushed, as with all doctors. But he is an attentive and active listener with good questions that get to the heart of the matter. He doesn't hesitate to recommend a specialist if warranted, and takes my concerns seriously even if they differ from his diagnosis. Because of the number of patients he sees, the wait time can be long, especially during flu season, but I think this is true of every doctors' office.

I lost 15 pounds in the first 3 weeks! He's amazing!
