Dr. Michele Ann Cofield, MD

I am sad to see she moved offices, but I’d still drive an hour for her to still be my Dr. LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!!

In over 70 years and three live births in three locations, I have had more doctors for female issues than I can count. If I were asked to rate them, Dr. Michele Cofield would be Number One. She is respectul of what I have to say, what I feel, what I am experiencing, etc. Two weeks ago, she was my surgeon for a pelvic floor reconstruction. I am absolutely honest when I say that I have not had one minute of pain. Lord knows how she did it, but everyone is saying that she is obviously a gifted surgeon. Dr. Cofield recently opened a practice in The Villages, FL, and I thank my lucky stars that I was blessed to get her as my doctor. May she live long and prosper!

I went to see Dr. Cofield because of not only pain but some other symptoms which caused me deep concern. I am 72, never had children and had previously had my (ex) gp physician do my gyn exams (big mistake). anyway I will first say in my 72 years i learned that if you go to someone who is "ob gyn" you might have to wait or reschedule. that is the way it is. If you can find a gyn not actively doing ob you might be in better shape. However, Dr. Cofield is both and I got in to see her without any difficulty. Let me state here i have been around doctors since my first job when i was 18 years old. Have been around physicians ever since. Dr. Cofield is the best doctor i have ever encountered. You cannot "teach" a doctor to have a great bedside manner.... if they don't have it ...well that's it. And for those who say that doesn't matter... well sorry... it does. When you are scared or worried how you are treated DOES matter. It is called "respect" and Dr. Cofield does respect… her patients and goes even further... just plain darned special !! Dr. Cofield is that great and more. She is the type of doctor that wants you to know about your situation....if you are informed and educated then you can help her help you. She let me as as many questions as i needed to...during each of my 3 visits. While in with her i had her full attention, she explained things in detail, and plans for the future visits. In short she is special, confident, knowledgeable, fantastic with patients and knows her stuff. Won't even consider seeing another doctor...!!!!

This appointment was a mess before it began. I was rescheduled 3 times before even arriving. I arrived for my 4pm appointment only to wait in the lobby until after 5pm. I checked with the rude receptionist Erica on the wait time. As usual she was unfriendly & short. Her response was "Well, you can reschedule." I said no thanks, I've already been forced to do that 3 times. While waiting I heard Dr. Cofield in the back even though I was told I had to do the 3 appt. changes because she was out on medical leave. (If she came back early, common courtesy would be to place me back with my Dr. I have a history seeing). I was finally called back & placed in a room. The nurse told me there were still 4 patients ahead of me & it would be about another hour. I watched people in the wait room leave & a prospective new patient reschedule. When the exam was over I went to the front to check out. No one was there. I waited a few minutes & finally just left. 2 hour wait for a 10 minute appt

Dr Cofield always knows how to keep me calm when I have any situation arise. She addresses the situation by letting me know up front I am going to be alright. She will take care of me and get me thru it. She listens to me and answers all my questions. I have recommended her to numerous women, some friends as well as coworkers. She was recommended to me by a customer of mine and I won't go anywhere else.

Dr. Cofield is so easy to talk with. She does a wonderful job communicating with you during exams/procedures to out you at ease.

I don't know anyone that looks forward to their annual exam, but I can tell you Dr. Cofield makes you feel very comfortable with the appointment. She has such a positive demeanor about herself. She explains everything she is doing, so there are no surprises. I would recommend her highly for any age group.

Love this practice. Dr Cofield is always happy, so personable and explains things so well. Whole staff is welcoming and professional.

We saw her when she was working with Dr. Coltrin in Norfolk, VA. She was, and I'm sure is still, absolutely fantastic! We ended up doing a scheduled C-section and her spirit and personality in all aspects put us instantly at ease. She even gave our beautiful boy and lovely handmade knit hat. The personal touch that she added to everything was wonderful. We were so delighted with her!
