Dr. Diaz-Arias was “unable to complete” my colonoscopy, so I was sent to the hospital to have a different type of scan. I was expected to call my insurance company myself to make sure the second procedure would be covered even though I had been under general anesthesia and was considered unsafe to drive. It took me two separate phone calls to get the job done. I was told that Dr. Diazliterally -Arias came in and talked to me after the procedure, but I have absolutely no recollection of it. It seems to me rather pointless to have a talk with a patient who is still so medicated that they have no memory of what you said or even that you talked to them. My two previous colonoscopies were uneventful and able to be completed. The only explanation I could get for the problem this time was that perhaps my intestine is longer than average and just too “smashed together” to be able to get a scope in to see. Evidently that means my intestine has grown in length in the last 5 years! My… “simple colonoscopy” turned into a two-day ordeal – the prep, fasting for 48 hours, doing the telephone work to get authorization codes from the insurance company because the doctor's staff just “couldn't get through,” spending literally hours waiting, and going through two procedures in the same day – it was an experience I do NOT want to repeat.

Dr Diaz Arias completed my procedure professionally with personal care. She was thorough in explaining before and after my procedure. The entire staff from check in to checking out was courteous , friendly, and professional. They took extreme caution in making sure I was comfortable and safe. Thank you. Jan Fewell

Staff was exceptional

I was somewhat concerned when I initially arrived for my procedure. However, the staff was amazing! Everyone was friendly, funny, and helpful. Dr. Diaz-Arias provide me with beneficial information and ideas to consider regarding potential risks. My experience was excellent from arrival through follow-up! I highly recommend using their services for your gastrointestinal needs and related services.

I was very pleased with the care I received from the entire staff at Columbia Endoscopy Center. They were very kind and friendly putting me at ease from the moment I arrived. Dr. Diaz-Arias and the rest of the staff took time to explain every step of the procedure and made sure I understood what would be done.

Dr. Diaz-Arias is the best doctor that i have ever been to. Her bed side matter is so relaxing. Smile and honest heart felt words are so special. She totally cleared all my worries away before and after my test. The staff was outstanding. She told me she would see me in 5 years. Love this lady!

What a wonderful Dr. Dr. Diaz is the kindness person ever. Her staff are all wonderful. Because of family history, I was so upset with fear. She took all that away, told me she would she me in 5 years. The smile she gives you is so peaceful.
