Dr. Michele Stacy Licht, MD

I experienced a biopsy performed by this doctor at Lenox Hill Radiology. I bled quite a bit from the procedure, and Dr. Licht did nothing to stop my bleeding and just walked away to probably to go to another patient. I felt blood running down my side, but was in shock not knowing what was happening. I walked to the next room for another exam with blood soaking the back of my surgical gown, and it was only then that a nurse gave me another gown and wiped the blood from me. Why didn’t the doctor have someone tend to me? Why didn’t they, like at NYU Langone, apply pressure to the wound and bandage me right away? I didn’t know what it was that I was feeling, was it saline? Was it blood? I didn’t know what was happening, I, like most patients are just in shock. Then a day later Dr. Licht called me to tell me “You have breast cancer and you need to see a surgeon right away” without any big picture explanation or details to keep me from going into an immediate panic attack and fit of crying.… I absolutely would not have her come near me ever again, have anything to do with me, or anyone I know, and I will not be working with Lenox Hill ever again, even though there were lovely, competent professionals working there with Dr. Licht.

Dr. Licht was extremely professional and an excellent doctor.

The doctor was extremely professional, pleasant and thorough. I didn't need to ask any questions as she told me everything I needed to know and showed me exactly where and what she was looking at and why.
