I am a real women and I went to Dr. Miki when I had lady trouble. Every week when I had my period, my fallopian tubes would come out my hole when I went pee. Dr. Miki fixed it all up like new, and now I can ride a bike again.

This Doctor was very rude in the phone when I called to ask if I should go in since I was having contractions 5 mins apart for the last 2 hours and she replied that I should wait when it’s 3 mins apart when the whole time my OB/GYN told me to go in when it’s 5 mins apart. Then soon after I hung up, my water broke and I went in and she had the audacity to ask me if I was sure that my water broke. She had to examine me and sent a swab to the lab to confirm that it actually ruptured. She was rough with the pelvic exam and told me that most likely she will send me home because I’m only 1 cm dilated. I didn’t receive no pain medication while I was in labor and she took about 3.5 hours to come back and re-examine me and the baby had been crowning for about 30 mins. She was surprised that I progressed so quickly but I was in active labor when I was there. They just went by their experiences and not what was actually going on. The nurse never checked down there although I was in excruciating… pain and pushing. The nurse told me not to push because I’m only 1 cm dilated and that will swell up the cervix and I’ll need to have a C-section. I was very disappointed with the care I received. I wish she was more compassionate and would’ve checked progress more often. My baby also had the umbilical cord around her neck and that could live been more serious.

I saw her many years ago, when she practiced in a different state from where she is currently. I was in the process of miscarrying my first child, and this woman had a bedside manner too horrible to even describe. During an exam she even gave out a condescending chuckle and asked me who told me I was actually pregnant (rest assured that I was pregnant at the time, as blood results, ultrasounds and a later D & C would prove). Not only was she condescending, but I have never been to a doctor that was so rough when giving a gynecological exam. I was young, I was scared, and this woman was horrible. 25 plus years, two beautiful children (and two beautiful grand children) I have never forgotten the absolutely horrific “care” that I received from this person. I’m saddened to see that she is still practicing.

Dr. Manting was covering the NYE shift at Salem Hospital's Labor and Delivery unit and refused to see me and my newborn after having to make an emergency trip there at 3am after being discharged earlier that day. She was extremely condescending on the phone (on the phone from somewhere in the hospital) and refused to come down to help me and tend to my concerns. She event stated "I don't have access to your files" when the nurse was standing there with my folder. I feel that this is blatant violation of a Dr.'s code of conduct while she was overseeing the Labor and Delivery unit. I was unable to feed my child (due to engorgement) and pleaded with her not only as a patient, but as a mother and one woman to another and she refused to come down and assist. I feel she is an embarrassment to the practice of woman's health!
