Dr. Michele Lorraine Martinez, MD

If I could "Dr." Martinez would get zero stars, but they make you give at least one. This woman is a joke of a doctor. If you need ANYTHING more than a yearly five minute visit THIS IS NOT THE DOCTOR FOR YOU! Her mission statement saying that she and I quote "Is prepared to become your support system for clinical excellence, service, and compassion" is almost as big a joke as the "doctor" herself. Even suffering from the same seizure disorder as her OWN daughter won't get you your medication refills on time or even a timely manner. She will straight up lie to you about your medications and blame everything on YOU and/or YOUR PAHRMACY. She takes no accountability or responsibility for her own practice and has self admitted to running her entire practice off a burner phone. She also had her license revoked pending completion of probation in 2004 and completed that probation in 2008. She will lie about this too when asked. All it takes is a simple search in the physician lookup in the… California Medical Boards records and you will find what she claims never happened. She fails to provide basic care to her vulnerable patients and chooses rudeness over anything else at all times. You can make an appointment with her (good luck getting one withing a reasonable amount of time) and she will be over an hour late then blame everything but herself for it. So in summary if you are looking for a doctor who seemingly hates practicing medicine, will do you harm, and will make you out to be in the wrong this is the "doctor" you've been waiting for. If you are looking for someone who practices medicine, genuinely cares about their patients, and won't violate the do no harm vow..... SHE IS NOT THE "DOCTOR" FOR YOU!!!! Wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy! FIVE STARS FOR HORRIBLENESS AND RUDENESS.

My prescription was filled late every month due to Dr. Michele Martinez and her irresponsible staff. When I complained, she made excuses for her staff and told me to find another doctor.

If you want to be treated horribly by the staff by all means go here. If not I recommend you go somewhere else. The staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional and incompetent. If you call there you are put on hold forever and when you finally get through they never have the information or the answers that you need. No one ever calls you with your test results! I've called several times several and for months to talk to the doctor but I have never received a return call. If you talk to the nurse and she doesn't know the answers or you catch her in a screw up she'll disconnect you and if you call her back she's not available. So you leave a message for her to call you back but she never does. Even getting perscriptions filled by them is a chore. I was even told by the staff, after going there for years, that the doctor won't talk to patients on the phone!!!! I have NEVER had a doctor refuse to talk to their patients. They told me if I have a question for the doctor I needed to… make an appointment!! I actually like the doctor and that's the only reason I stayed this long but...I am finally fed up and refuse to be treating this way any longer. I am going somewhere else and I recommend you do the same.

Ugh. The doctor herself is fine and I would give her a good review. However, getting through to her you have to deal with the most horrible staff. Inconsiderate, uncaring, and rude. Getting an appointment is hard. Getting the staff to call you back about results impossible. I have a long story to tell but I'll make it short. Because of the ineptness of her staff I wound up in the hospital with a serious infection and almost died. I had been calling the doctors office for a couple of months for a referral to a urologist but they never did it. Their incompetence landed me in the hospital for 2 1/2 months. I dropped her as my doctor.

Do not go here. The staff there are usually rude and you usually have to follow up on everything to make sure your prescriptions are getting filled. Horrible customer service.

Today I finally said no more! Not only does it take forever to just make an appointment with having to wait on hold for 10-15 mins before hanging up and calling back to have to hold another 5 mins and they don't even get on the phone to say let me me call you back or please hold a little longer. Then I get there for my appointment and they don't have me down, this was the first time then it's a new year so I made an appointment which took 12 mins that I was on hold then hung up and they answered and I got an appointment 2 weeks out. I get there today and they don't have me down at all. I cried and walked out then came back in saying this happens all the time and that I want the Dr to call me. I knew she wouldn't tell her so I decided to change drs finally like I should have. Oh and my very first visit they had a water leak and I had to reschedule, my 3 rd visit, they had the same water leak and were airing out the carpet and then I couldn't be seen. Then I asked to get a copy of my… blood work and they told me to stop by and I left work early and I went and it was closed early! Nothing ever went right there. The dr was good overall except she never got back to me about my results on anything. Not once. That is why I wanted my blood work to show another Dr. In the end, don't go there if you expect a good staff and need to be seen. The DR I didn't appreciate that she spent time with me when I was there but I really think her staff makes her look bad and she probably is a great dr I wouldn't know since I never really got to see her!
