Dr. Michele Edith Metrick, MD

I imagine Dr. Metrick might be adequate for straightforward neurological conditions. However, if you are trying to get the the bottom of something more complicated, I recommend finding another doctor, even if it means a longer wait for an appointment. Dr. Metrick strongly implied our son's symptoms were due to mental health/psychological issues. My son was later diagnosed with a rare neurological condition and is being successfully treated by another doctor at a different hospital.

Dr. Metrick has seen my son since birth in 2004. I have and will refer her again to anyone needing a neurologist. She has been not only a fantastic neurologist but also an excellent resource. Her follow up is prompt and thorough. She's a gem!

This Doctor does not like to be wrong. When she is intimidated by a patient, she becomes hostile, rude and dismissive. She is known to report parents to DHS whenever she feels that a parent has offended her. She uses child welfare as a tool to give herself more power and abuses her position by filing false reports. She struggles to understand social interactions. She is dishonest and lies when it is convenient. She does not believe in seizures, but wrote a paper on "pseudoseizures". She believes they happen because parents are "defective" and of "poor social standing". She misreads EEGs and does not provide children with special needs appropriate care. Run away quickly. Don't take your child to this horrible doctor.
