Dr. Michele M. Riggins

I had surgery 6 weeks ago for a double vision problem that had gotten so bad I quit driving except very locally. It was hard to watch television or enjoy shopping. My surgery was successful and the double vision is gone. Dr. Riggins has given me my life back! She’s competent,caring and very friendly. I highly recommend her!

I have seen a few doctors, so my expectations for Dr. Riggins weren't the highest. I am an RN and am sometimes skeptical to see doctors just because I have seen them at their worse. I was pleasantly surprised by her bedside manner, and she did an excellent job explaining my condition and we went through a very comprehensive treatment plan. I have since seen her a couple more times, and I wish that she was my regular eye doctor so that I could see her more. Both Dr. Riggins and the staff really made me feel like a priority and have always been excellent at keeping me up to date on my testing and talking me through different questions. Being in the medical field, and personally having her as a doctor, I would recommend her to anyone I know without hesitation.

I would highly recommend Dr. Riggins! Her bedside manner is excellent, she spends time reviewing and discussing the diagnosis and treatment options and she has hands of gold (what an excellent surgeon)!!

I am so grateful that my ophthalmologist referred me to Dr Michele Riggins. I had a sudden loss of vision in my eye and was diagnosed with optic neuritis. Dr Riggins ordered all the appropriate tests, went over the results with me, and it was determined that I had multiple sclerosis. This was devastating news for me, but Dr Riggins was so caring, empathetic and helpful that she made me feel better. She referred me to an excellent neurologist for treatment. Dr Riggins has excellent training in neuro-ophthalmology, and has extensive knowledge and expertise in her field. She is humble, caring, and it is clear that she is focused on patient care. I did not feel rushed in her office, she answered all my questions, and wanted to make sure I understood my diagnosis. She has also called to check on me to see how I have been doing with my treatments for multiple sclerosis. I would highly recommend Dr Riggins!
