Dr. Michelle-Anne Anne Diehl, PhD

I went to Dr. Diehl for marital issues, and she was absolutely great in helping me realize that the issue was not of my making (infidelity of my spouse, and her desire for a lifestyle -polyamory and open relationships-- I was not agreeable to) and helped me devise and validate strategies to deal with the situation. Dr. Diehl is not well versed in alternative lifestyles, but is a solid sounding board, helping you realize that you aren't responsible for the urges and behaviors of others, and makes valuable suggestions on coping with issues. The only downside, is that she is very inflexible when it comes to her appointments. If you are military, or a first responder or DoD contractor subject to short notice schedule changes and have to cancel in less than 24 hours (I had to cancel 8 hours prior, I was told to deploy the morning of my afternoon appointment) she is intolerant. It is definitely about her fee and she refuses to understand when things happen.

Michelle has helped me many times in the past few years. Friendly, comfortable office, never a wait. Michelle listens, doe not judge and seems as if she truly wants to help...u don’t find this with many medical professionals these days. I highly recommend Michelle and will continue to seek her help..vjw

She struck me as one of those people that become a therapist to deal with their own issues and rather than heal, they put their own issues on you. She did not pick up on severe abuse I was experiencing from my spouse. When I tried to tell her but was too afraid, she called me a "user" for my having stayed and minimized the little I said. Like many abusers, the guy was a slick talker and at one point Michelle brought him a bday present; so traumatic I don't know if I'll ever visit another one.

Horrible! If you are trying to save your marriage don't let your spouse go!!! Will pick sides and/or let other patience influence her judgement.
