Dr. Michelle Azu

DR.Michelle Azu is a sweat,loving doctor but she doesn't provide her directed phone line if a patient needs to reach her for an emergency as well as her secretary ida.Also if a patient had breast surgery the following day that patient will be in huge pain,Absolutly no pain medication was given to the patient send home without.Expecting the patient to use the old pain Medications.I regret putting my life in her hands.True Story.

Dr. Azu is compassionate, intelligent, takes the time with you so that you understand what she’s saying. She does not rush you out and you can tell that she cares you. I had a mastectomy surgery and she did a wonderful job. I am so happy that I am her patient!! I LOVE Dr. Azu!!!!

She performed a biopsy on me at CINJ and I was not comfortable with the way she just rushed through the procedure. Very unprofessional. I also did not like the way her assistants stood there with worried expressions on their faces. Made me uncomfortable and suspicious about her procedure and intent. She could not provide satisfactory answers to my questions.

Dr. Azu truly cares about her patients. She explains things in ways that I can understand, she is extremely helpful, easy to speak with and overall made going through a surgery easy and seamless. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Azu and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of breast surgery.

She was my surgeon and I felt she was not very clear in her communication about the tests she was performing. During the biopsy procedures at the Cancer Institute of NJ, I found her to be not very forthright about the procedures she performed. She was temperamental and unclear in her communications, which made me suspicious about the procedures, her diagnosis, and the subsequent treatment I had to go through. Please get your first opinion or biopsies after being doubly sure of the institution and its doctors. Avoid Research Institutions at best possible.

I met this doctor at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) and she did my biopsy. There was confusion and back and forth on staging of the Cancer. A skin biopsy procedure was performed just before the start of chemotherapy and it was circumspect - skin rashes appeared for the first time after the biopsy. Was I becoming a subject of research without permission?

I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I saw Dr.Azu for my second opinion. She confirmed what the other doctor said but she knew her statistics better. I'm having my surgery in 2 weeks with her.

I was referred to Dr.Azu by my Gyn doctor because I had a breast mass and the biopsy was positive for cancer. She took the time to explain to me all my options and I feel very comfortable with my choice to do a lumpectomy. I had minimal discomfort and can't wait for chemo to be over.

Dr. Azu has been exceptional in her treatment of what was my cancer. She is consistently meticulous, answers any and all questions, works well with the rest of the surgical and oncology teams and is clearly invested in the health of her patients.

I saw Dr.Azu for a second opinion regarding my new breast cancer. Her recommendations agreed with the opinions I got at Johns Hopkins. She listened to me and answered my list of questions. She is also very nice and patient. So glad I found her!
