Dr. Michelle Anne Bholat, MD

Dr Bholat seems to approach every patient as the individuals we are. What works for some doesn't work for others, and that approach is so refreshing. Makes me trust her, and in this day and age, that is also refreshing. She truly cares about her patients and listens.

The doctor's name is on nearly 2,000 Medi-Cal Managed care insurance cards, thus lending her name, reputation and license to provide access to care to underinsured patients. The patients that enrolled under her name are often those that meet the definition of requiring an "ambulatory ICU" for care. For example, patients present with metastatic cancers, complex heart disease as well as patients with mental health needs. Dr. Bholat has been a family physician with an interest in creating health care delivery systems that treat all patients with evidence-based health care and help patients understand that they have they have the power to change their health by changing what they eat, how much they drink, to a tobacco-free life, from illicit drug use to sobriety and how much they exercise.
