Dr. Michelle Lynn Cabret, MD

A month after surgery (chin lipo and submentoplasty) with Michelle, I began developing large, painful nodules under my chin and neck that persistently got worse for over a year. I was initially told by her that it must be my allergies and then that it was thyroid-related causes. After seeking care from a more experienced board-certified plastic surgeon, I was informed that the nodules were FULL of pus and bacteria, located on/around the permanent sutures. I was also made aware that the nodule that was distanced lower than the rest, had a free-hanging suture that was attached to nothing. I was advised that what he found was consistent with infection related to the permanent internal sutures Michelle placed in me and was likely due to the sutures being unsterile/compromised during surgery. This was an extremely painful and distressing experience that significantly impacted my quality of life for OVER a year. When I reached out to her office regarding this, I was met with denial, zero… accountability and was threatened multiple times if I ever post about this online. I strongly encourage anyone considering cosmetic surgery to thoroughly research their provider and ensure they are board-certified in PLASTIC surgery. Unfortunately, a cosmetic surgeon with a doctorates degree in dentistry is a very considerable, and concerning difference.

A testament to the type of person Dr. Michelle Cabret is: a few weeks after my surgery, I had some questions regarding the garments I was wearing, nothing too important, I texted Dr Michelle ( she gives out her personal phone number so she can can be more hands on with fast responses to her patients) and even though she was out of the country with her daughters in a different time zone, she still made sure to text me back within hours. She genuinely cares about her patients and that is what made me feel so comfortable throughout the healing process. I absolutely love my body and feel so confident in a bikini. "

Don't trust this woman. She is doing procedures that she is not qualified to do. After a problem occurred, she wants to blame the patient. Now having to talked to a few other surgeons, they have each mentioned having to fix something she did. Notice in her reviews if anyone has something negative, she will blame the patient. You want someone who is on your side if a problem happens. Go to a board plastic surgeon.

Dr. Michelle is probably great when things go well. When they don't, there is a lot of patient blaming. Now having had to go to another surgeon to address the issue, I understand how unqualified she is. She is not a board certified plastic surgeon. Do yourself a favor and find someone qualified.

I had a procedure with Dr. Cabret-Carlotti and it turned into a total nightmare. It has been an extremely traumatic experience that has ruined my self esteem. Dr. Cabret-Carlotti takes no responsibility for the problems and offers no sympathy.
