Scottish Rite for Children

At Scottish Rite for Children, we set the global benchmark in pediatric orthopedics—delivering world-class care for children and adolescents with musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and fractures, as well as select arthritic, neurological and learning disorders such as dyslexia.

Our story began in 1921, when a coalition of Texas Masons invited Dallas’s first orthopedic surgeon, Dr. W.B. Carrell, to treat children stricken by polio. As vaccines such as Salk and Sabin all but eliminated polio across the Western Hemisphere, we channeled our expertise into a broader spectrum of orthopedic challenges.

Today, our unwavering commitment to excellence drives us to pioneer new treatments, spearhead transformative research and train health-care professionals around the globe—all with a singular purpose: to give children back their childhood. Through our six Centers of Excellence—in Spine, Hip, Hand, Foot, Limb Lengthening and Sports Medicine—we continue to redefine what’s possible in pediatric orthopedics.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
