Dr. Michelle Langlinais Flechas, MD

She has been my doctor for quite a few years and she will take the time to answer your questions and explain things. She actually listens to what you have to say and overall she is just a super great doctor.

My son was a patient of Dr. Flechas from the age of 1 until he was 16. During that time he had numerous ear infections, up unit he was in high school. He also suffered from GI issues, anxiety, skin disorders, and was chronically sick. Dr. Flechas never recommended tubes for his ears, never ordered test for his stomach issues nor did she refer him to a dermatologist. She commonly blew my concerns off and stated it was common or a phase. She also referred us to her husband, who is a counselor for the anxiety. We stopped seeing her when he was 16 and began seeing an immunologist because we were concerned about the amount of weight he was losing and the fact that he stayed sick. We also began seeing a local nurse practitioner for general issues. She immediately tested him for celiac disease based on his symptoms. She also suggested genetic testing and we found out he is unable to metabolize a majority of medications he has been prescribed for years. All of the symptoms he had can all be… attributed to celiac disease, which is an autoimmune disease. We almost lost him to suicide because of his anxiety and depression which was also related to his celiac. It angers me that a pediatrician wouldn't take the extra steps to uncover chronic complaints and symptoms. He has completely lost hearing in his left ear because of the ear infections and his celiac disease is in an advanced state. I'm hoping she does a better job of following through with other patients.
